Fri: off Sat: 5k race (22:02), 3 mi cool down Sun: 7 mi run
Was disappointed to get close, but not to break back into the 21's for my 5k. Moving in the right direction at least.
First prize for overall M/F were a pair plane tickets, so this race normally draws a lot of local fasties out of the woodwork. Guess they all decided to stay home because I was 2nd OA Female (yep, always the bridesmaid), 1st AG. Guess I'll have to keep using my employee flight benefits instead, lol.

Congrats!! Your PP speed is inspiring!
No workouts for me this weekend but I do have some sore abs from coughing and sneezing. Bleh, being sick sucks!

Congrats! You have come back quickly! I bet you'll be throwing down some PR's by the Fall.
Amazing weather here... 60s and partly sunny. Friday strength Sat off Sunday ran 10 miles along the lake and some trails with a friend. Love finding new routes.

Fri - planned rest day Sat - partner wod. I'm starting to really like sat workouts. Sun - pull-up/burpee ladder and 8min AMRAP run/squats/v-ups ladder
As a side note - I couldn't go since I was working sat but a local cf box and town was devastated by a flash flood tues night followed by more rain and flooding the end of the week. My box sent people down on sat to help them with the clean up! And this weekend we are doing a wod with them at our box as a benefit.

Fri: Rest Sat: 11 miles Sun: 5K plus 4 extra miles warm up/cool down. My 5K time was a PR, but I am still chasing the elusive sub-25. I have a race on Monday, so maybe that will be the one?
Fri: Rest and cleaning Sat: 5 mile run - average pace was 8:30 - my speed is slowly coming back:) Sun: 15 mile bike ride w/ DH and 3 mile run afterwards
After a few days of resting for my hip to heal, I'm back in the game.
Sat: Lovely 6 miles (minimal hip pain) Sun: Tried out a new route and my 12-mile run turned into 13-miles since I got a little lost. It was a beautiful day for a run so all was well. I stretched nicely after my run and my hip felt pretty good for most of the day.
Fri: 6 miles + core Sat: Rest/work event Sun: 11 miles. My goal for my long runs this summer, is to try and keep everything below an 8:20 pace, under 8:15 is even better. I'm pretty please that last week's 10 was 7:59 (though I knew I was pushing a bit), and this week's 11 was 8:06. The 8:06 felt fairly comfortable.
ETA: Nice job, runblondie26! I can't believe how quickly you've bounced back. You'll definitely get it w/your next 5k!
Fri: 3400 yd swim Sat: :30 run / 3:00 bike / 1:00 run Sun: 3:00 bike
Sat + Sun = about 81 miles on the bike + 9 miles run. Ooft.
This was the conclusion of a build week; I have a recovery week through Fri, then a super high volume 3 day "training camp" weekend on my plan next weekend and then... TAPER & RACE PREP. How did I get here so soon?

I took the weekend off to nurse my ankle. I did something to it last weekend and then had the sheer brilliance to run a 5k Wednesday. Thankfully, after a weekend of recovery and beer I am feeling pretty damn good and excited to run tomorrow.
F: Strength and core work. My arms and side abs are still sore from Friday S: Tried to get out and run a little 1-2 mile slow paced run to see if my groin could handle it. I only made it .75 miles before the stabbing pain started again. Sigh S: Nap.
Friday: nothing Saturday: 5.5 mile semi trail (packed gravel/dirt) run Sunday: 5 miles with AJ in the jogger. My arms hurt. Today: 4ish miles before j went to work
