I generally pack light and every hospital list is so LONG. What did you actually use or need at the hospital? Bonus points and gold stars and unicorns farting glitter if you delivered at Valley too and know what they'll provide

We didn't bring stuff for James. Be sure to bring clothes for your H and what he might need for overnight. Don't forget the camera. It's been so long, so I'm not really much help. But: lotion, lip balm, socks or slippers. I packed 6 month pregnant pants to wear home, but even if I could have put them on, I wanted loose. I ended up wearing the same pants home that I wore to L&D. Be sure your clothes are cozy.
Basic makeup, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, comfortable clothes (I wanted out of the gown as soon as the baby was born), cell phone, charger, and hair ties. Minus makeup and hair ties the same for your H.
I was so organized and had a packing list for last minute stuff to pack when I went into labor, but I couldn't really focus and ended up forgetting a bunch of stuff. I would either buy extras and pack everything ahead of time, or have your H pack last minute stuff. Mine was busy cleaning, lol.
I brought too much stuff for myself. I'm glad I had slippers and my own comfy night gown though. I brought my glasses (I wear contacts). I brought honey sticks for some energy. The best thing I brought was my body pillow H bought me when I was pregnant. It was super comfy during labor and helped with breast feeding after.
I wish I had a stretchy swaddling blanket for Blb. The ones at the hospital are so stiff and she could break out of them easily. I also did not like the little hat they gave me for her. It was itchy and too small.
I delivered M at valley. They will supply everything for baby diapers, nose aspirator, blankets, hat, wipes, burp cloth, formula if that's your plan, pads, mesh undies, dermoplast spray, tucks pads or something similar, peri bottle. Basically everything you need besides clothes for you to wear home, a camera, and clothes for baby to wear home. Oh but bring your own toiletries and a normal sized towel. Their soap sucks to shower with and their towels are/ were hand towel size not full size
we packed a suitcase for bjl, and practically nothing for the boy...stuff we actually used:
a hair rubberband laptop (loaded with movies) food/snacks for h toothbrush/paste phone charger clothes for baby (tip, don't use pants with attached feeties, because of the ankle bracelets) clothes for mom.
Thanks guys! These lists are much more manageable for me. I'm not planning on moving in to the hospital but some of those lists make it seem like a possibility!
