I am having the worst sleep schedule lately. Can you sleep train an adult? Does my husband have to let me cry it out?
I am going to a conference/convention with my uncle and aunt. They are staying over for two nights with us. They got extra tickets for me to join along. Tomorrow (as in today. Haha) is a Tony Robbins motivational speech thing. I have no idea what I am getting into. Haha.
QOTD: ER. I love that show would love watching re-runs. Mad About You is a favorite of mine too. I like watching the DVD's sometimes. Otherwise I love AbFab too.

Alli: I've only been to one motivational speaker event. There were a ton of speakers, but the main speaker was Zig Zigler (or something like that). His speech was so... not sure how to describe it... forced? fake? power-pointy in a bad way? a big sales pitch to buy the $2000 cds and workbooks?
But, the other speakers were really good. They were more natural.

Interesting. I figure I have nothing to lose by going. I do need some motivation! Haha

Good Morning! I slept in today because I went to bed late last night. However, they are doing some construction on the house next door and they are there every morning at 8 banging and making a lot of noise. I am going shopping this afternoon when DH gets home. We have to start to buy some things for baby.

No big plans for today. It's my BFFs birthday so I'm hoping to be able to catch her at some point during the day to convey wishes in person, but if not, I've mailed a card and posted on her FB wall. DH and I also went grocery shopping for the week -- I always spend more when DH comes with me. I love having him there, but it does wreck the budget.
QOTD: Remington Steele -- I have been a fan since I was 9 years old and begged to be allowed to stay up late on the nights it was on.
Alli - I just downloaded season 1 of ER to re-watch, it's hilarious seeing how YOUNG they all look!
No plans for today. My mom's here for a couple weeks but she's off on a bus tour of the highlands for a couple days so I'm taking advantage of the time to myself. Am really trying to get back into working out after not being allowed to for 14 weeks, it's hard! And I'm failing at it so far... but tonight is the night!
QODT: Too hard! I watched ER for all 14 seasons, but totally love and re-watch My So Called Life and Firefly often. I loved Big Love, still watch Sons of Anarchy and rewatch Sex and the City often. I watched all 5 seasons of The Wire in a couple months last year and was surprised by how much I loved it. I obviously watch way too much TV.

Morning! Not much going on here today except trying to stay cool.
QOTD: That's hard. I go through phases. As a kid - Hey Dude and Animaniacs, I don't remember in my teens (other than that I didn't watch Dawson's Creek like everyone else), in college years it was House because it was always on when I worked, and now I like crime shows - the CSIs, White Collar, etc

Good morning! I'm going to the library with my SIL and my niece and nephews this morning, lunch with a friend at Chipotle (!!), shopping for a tent to take back to Switz and then dinner with a friend tonight...busy day.

Good afternoon!
I tutored my friend's little sister earlier, and I am getting ready to teach my next class. I'm feeling kind of frustrated with the tutoring because she is only here for a short time, and I'm not sure how much she can learn in 5 hour and a half sessions. I also feel guilty taking money because he is a friend, but I can't do it for free, you know?
QOTD: My favourite show of all time is 6 feet under.

Nothing at all exciting is happening today. I'm working per usual.
QOTD: I really don't watch much tv these days and when I do, I tend to half pay attention. I never watch series tv anymore, I can't commit. Fave shows through the decades, I Love Lucy, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Welcome Back Kotter, Taxi (I really liked Nick @ Nite as a kid), Full House, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, early Friends, The Nanny, That 70's Show, Sex and the City, and Peep Show especially the early seasons.

Well the day is almost over but let me share anyway... I did some laundry today and shopped for some traveling stuff for our kitten (special litterbox ad plastic feeding dishes). After lunch I went shopping and now I finally sat down with my laptop to work a bit on my dissertation.
QOTD: Lost until penultimate season and another one that really made me feel addicted to it was The Killing. I also really like Criminal Minds and Law & Order SVU.
No big plans for today. I paid a visit to the consulate here to figure out what I need to do to have the marriage registered in Italy. Turns out, it's easy peasy
Good morning! I'm going to the library with my SIL and my niece and nephews this morning, lunch with a friend at Chipotle (!!), shopping for a tent to take back to Switz and then dinner with a friend tonight...busy day.
QOTD: A tie between Friends and Gilmore Girls.
Chipotle and tent shopping, I'm very jealous of your day! What tent did you end up buying? If you haven't gotten one yet and want rec's I have one that we love.
