Where would you like your next assignment/ expat location to be? It doesn't have to be the real place you are going to next. It could be your dream location?
I would really like our next assignment to be in Dubai. We were suppose to be there before we moved to Houston. I was really excited for the opportunity too but we got Houston instead. Oh well and now we are here in Australia. I would be up for Singapore or Vietnam too.
I would do someplace like Singapore or Hong Kong, I would go back to the UK, or somewhere in South America. All of them are unlikely, unless we choose to move back to the UK. DH's company is huge, one of the biggest retailers in the World, but they only have a presence in the US, Canada and Mexico.

I don't know if we'll ever get out of the Middle East, we love it here too much, and that being said, we'd love to be in Dubai next. We've talked about the UK or the Far East too, but I think we'll be in the ME for the next few years at least.
I have a fantasy of living in Italy. It will never happen (and practically speaking, it's probably not a good fit anyway), but we didn't have to be rational on this post, right?
And Lisbon is fantastic! I was only there once for a couple days last year but DH and I fell in love with it. For whatever reason, we could totally picture ourselves living there.
Spain (anywhere I like the whole freakin' peninsula ; London (for H); Singapore. Spain and Singapore are potentials someday; London not anymore.
In reality, we're on our way back to VA, so that's how it is . We'd for sure come back to Italy someday, but if I had a choice of anywhere, I pick Spain first as our next abroad location.
The West Coast. Being that the plan is to move there, that's my next dream location. Otherwise right here in NYC is still the dream. Maybe in the future... our beloved south of France.
First I'd like to just get to Shanghai. I'd also love to live in Japan but would be happy with a stint in the UK, which isn't too unrealistic, as H's company/JV has employees there.
H has talked about Clearwater, FL after Shanghai...I almost went to law school there, but decided against it. I'm not sure I really want to live in FL, plus the field I'm interested in/got a certificate in during law school is more suited to capital cities, which Clearwater is obviously not.

I'd really love to live for a year in New York - just to experience it! But realistically I just hope dh gets transferred to the states for a period of time at some point, as they are based there

Honestly, I'm just not one of those people who likes to explore and see new places. I was at one time, but not anymore. Now I want roots. So I'd choose to either stay right where we are or move back to where I'm from. Pretty exotic, huh?

Lisbon, Portugal, for the city itself, the language, the people, the proximity to family in Spain, the sea, the ease of direct flights home, and so many other reasons. Given the current economy, though, and my job and DH's, Brazil is more realistic. But I much prefer Rio and the jobs are in Sao Paulo.
Someplace ridiculous, but only for 6 months or a year. I used to think Siberia would be cool, but after this summer, I want to go someplace that gets warm (though I have heard that Novosibirsk has warm summers).
I'm excited about the prospect of Rio, even aside from the obvious personal concerns. It will be my first southern hemisphere assignment, a new continent, and I might be there fore the World Cup. Plus, I've never lived somewhere where I have to worry about stray bullets and organized crime.

I met a woman from Siberia once whose cheeks got frostbite every year she was growing up. She had these really painful looking scars on her cheeks and had moved close to St. Petersburg "for the warmer weather." I would take Rio's random bus-jackings any day over that.
