I know tamb did it and most of you did too but I feel like I need a new post because I'm not getting over this one....ever.
Last night it was bath time an I took Logan in my arms like a baby and started kissing him. He loves it and laughs a lot. Then I put him down for him to get undressed an get in the tub and he went "no mommy lets play some more" more playing what? it's time to take a bath I said. He goes "more of you kissing me and I laugh"
*Cue choir of angels* I can do that!
I kissed him for like 10 minutes. With all kinds of variations to catch him off guard. Until he wasn't laughing anymore and started just screaming excitedly. Which I when I knew he was getting too worked up and he needed to go to bed.
He then decided to take his first shower all by himself.
We do the kissing game often but I doubt he'll be actually asking for it in a few.
Joaquin 'found' her first blues clues pawprint yesterday. She got all agitated and pointed at the TV until Steve's slow ass drew it in his notebook. She found the first two today, but she started throwing stuff so we had to turn off the TV because Steve only wants to play with nice girls and throwing is not nice. heh.
The other day DS told me he was wondering about something. And I wish I had written down what he said, b/c I know he phrased it differently. But it was basically "I wonder why everything is what it is and why it's here. And I'm going to figure it out." And he looked so thoughtful and determined that I thought, yes, he can solve these things.
Another DS story: he hugged me a couple of nights ago and said "I love you so much! You're always on my heart!"
We have a lullaby book that I sometimes read to DD before bedtime - the last one in it is "I see the moon and the moon sees me/God bless the moon/And God bless me." The other night, she popped her paci out of her mouth and recited it to me, but changed the last line to "And God bless Ellie! And Mommy!"
Marcus is now belly laughing and it's sooo funny. I can't wait for Gabe to catch up. They've been napping much better in their cribs and I'm strangely proud that they're getting their acts together, lol.
Tamb I LOVE the flirty thing. Love love love. It's so sweet.
They've also started clinging and cuddling on my shoulder. So while I miss the "pass out on any warm chest" sleep they used to do, it's nice to know I'm "preferred," even though I miss 3 days of every week.
Jack is such a loving big brother. Seven weeks in he is still just head over heels for Leo. He also talks to him in the sing song voice I do. It is cute. He had zero issues with the transition of a new baby. He rocks.
Leo is the most laid-back, sweetest baby. He is 100% a delight. I have loved every moment of my maternity leave with him because he is such a great little thing. And as I have previously siad he has started to sleep 6 hours for the first chunk of sleep a night. And then he wakes up eats real quick and back to dreaming.

DD has cheer chorerography camp all this week. I just got a text saying "guess who just did a front walkover, round off, back handspring tuck and a back handspring step out round off back handspring tuck? This girl did." I cna't wait to see it. I love watching her tumble. She has a ton of power and a killer drive to do more.

DS spent a good 45 minutes last night explaining to me how he is going to start his own baseball team from scratch. It was very detailed and when I would try to give him suggestions he wanted none of it. He has it all figured out and I think its hysterical.

We have been learning about space, and I gave DD some chalk pastels last night and a paper plate. I asked her to make the sun. She was so cute. She went and got her library book about space, found a picture of the sun and proceeded to make this.
And, then this morning, I told her I needed to put a little makeup on before our company gets here and she responded with, "But why Mommy? You are already beautiful." I almost cried.
LHC, yours made me tear up. I know how that feels and I'm only 4 months in! This parenting thing is crazy.
Max started full on laughing this week. Two days ago, H put him in the bouncy seat and they must have spent 10 minutes just laughing at each other which made me laugh. Pure happiness.
Tamb, I love the shy, flirty thing. Max does that, too.
Ninja, the cuddling is super cute. I love that he's starting grasping my shoulder when I hold him. Your babies are adorable, by the way.
Thank you! Yours is so sweet, too!! What is he holding?? We just found out the boys looove those Angel Dear animal blankets and they help them calm down before naps. I can't believe we're doing lovies already but hell, it works!! What your guy is holding looks like something mine would love

So obnixious but Jacob is starting to understand what I call his miracle day. It's Jan 1 and that was the day that the hospital wanted to give me a D&C and I refused.
I make it a fun day for him which is really about me. Yesterday he asked me if everyone has a special day like him. It made my heart weep. He also told me what presents he wanted for his day but that doesn't make the story as cute.
I am in love with everyone's stories and pictures!!
Here's mine.
Ian has just started to finally make a tiny bit of progress in speech therapy and has begun using the sound "mmm." Yesterday, he sort of said "mmmmm mammmmma" i think. Melted my stone cold heart. For real! I love that kid SO much!!!
Here's a picture from last weekend of my entire crew at the Taste of Buffalo. Freaky hot day, but we had a nice time.

WHAT!?? omg, Karma!! What?? I didn't know about this. What an amazingly personal and powerful... 'thing'?? I don't even know what to call that! Miracle is RIGHT! How incredibly awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ({) (})
I don't have too many "awwww, so cute!" moments any more, more the "I'm so proud of the person you're becoming" moments.
I love that DS still gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek whenever he says goodbye to me. I love that even though he's away at camp for the summer having a blast, he still calls home a couple of times a week to check that we're doing ok (so he says). I get proud when I get a phone call home from one of his coaches telling me what a good kid he is. I love his sense of humour.
I love that DD will still cuddle on the couch with me when we're watching one of "our" TV shows. I love that she will still come to me when she has something rolling around in her head she needs to sort out. I get proud when she attempts a new element of a dive that she is nervous about. I love to see her around her baby sister (on her father's side) or her great grandparents and get to see the sweet and generous person she is.

The other night we were cuddling before bed and the kid leaned over a touched his mouth to my arm. I was like OMGDON'TBITEME!, but realized there was no pain. So I just watched him. He did it five or six time and then the light bulb clicked on. He was kissing me!
Evelyn is in love with snakes and all creepy critters that make me squirm and scream! She told me the other day, "I'm going to grow up and have them as pets and be a vet so that I can teach you about them so you're not afraid of them anymore."
