You put in your height, weight, age, and sex, and it tells you whether you're below or above average for your country (I should have put in the US, not Germany). And then it gives you some statistics, which will be validating for some of you, perhaps, but this is one of the great things it told me:
If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would add 30,728,988 tonnes to the total weight of the world's population

Using my weight this morning - If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would remove 20,664,560 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population.
Using my weight on March 1st, when I changed my eating habits - If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would add 21,631,813 tonnes to the total weight of the world's population.
From most like Austria to Somalia and a BMI of 26 to 22. I'm pretty chuffed with that.
:Y: That is awesome! I put in my goal weight, which is the top of the range I had between the ages of 17-28, and it was a BMI of 23, which would be really nice. Funny that back then I felt really fat, and now I would be thrilled to be back down to that...

My BMI is higher than it used to be though still in the healthy range. I am a lot curvier now than I used to be, which I generally prefer except for when I visit Egypt!

Apparently I am most like someone from Ethiopia...sort of interesting. I am tall (5'11") and certainly not fat but I am also defintitely not scrawny/supermodel looking, I just look healthy (and no I did not lie about my weight . There must be a few people in Ethiopia that mess with their average national BMI because when I picture someone from Ethiopia i picture someone malnourished. But that probably isn't necessarily the case for many Ethiopians. But I will take it as compliment.

I´m suddenly feeling thin after reading that. Surely I made a mistake? I´m most like someone from Bhutan, and have a BMI that´s lower than 82 percent of people from Germany. I find this hard to believe.
Wahhhhhhh! I put the weight I was before I became pregnant. Technically overweight by 1 point on BMI. I think it will be so hard to get back there after this pregnancy and that was considered overweight.
Yeah I know I am the largest person in Spain. I am a US size 22. I don't know if I am paranoid, but I notice people staring and pointing at me all the time (even adults getting kids attention to look at me then point). I usually wave at them as to let them know I see them. I hope it embarrasses them a bit. Some Europeans are so rude.

How terrible . Europeans can be so rude about this, when I used to be a little bit overweight the children of the family I was an au pair for me would tell me "Kelly, you're so fat". It really hurt my feelings .

I'm apparently most like women from Papua New Guinea. Allright, then. There's only about 60,000 years or so intervening from when we might have been cousins.

They are most definitely rude about this, and I wish I had a dollar for every time someone informed me Americans are all obese (exaggerate much?), but according to a newspaper article I read recently, there is a serious rise in childhood obesity. So pretty soon, they might have to stop saying this.
That is terrible grosnl, I can't believe some peoples behaviour! I got that I am most like someone from India and I am below the French average! This is amazing for me, I worked hard this year to lose weight since having M and I have finally reached my goal. To "know" that 68% of French females my age have a higher bmi than I feels great!
