He's so cute. I'd take him in a heartbeat. My dog is the most antisocial thing in the world. She'd want nothing to do with him except snuggle at bedtime. She's a user like that.
I never heard the story about "the incident"- what happened?
The rescue has a pretty specific "slow intro" policy to the household dogs, for safety and liability. They recommend keeping the dogs separate for a day or two, then allow them to see each other for a day or two, and THEN do the official intro. Allows the dogs to decompress.
Anyway... I transported him to his foster home... and the girl was like "Oh they seem fine!" and after 2 hours allowed all the dogs to get together. Well, one of the resident dogs chomped his ear off.
Foster home felt awful, but obviously the tension was there now ... and the rescue was uncomfortable leaving the dog there. So, the day after I transported him, I got a desperate call from the rescue going "OMG can you foster him, even if on an emergency basis?!"
He's snarky when he first meets someone - he's just insecure around strangers... and since I had bonded with him over the transport and he was fine with me, they thought it would be best since I already had met him and he wouldn't have to have any more stress added to his life. I agreed, so ... here he is.
Awwww poor guy. He's lucky to have you! And I die at the pictures of him playing with your resident pups.
Oh god. mp you are evil. Do you KNOW how much I want a rescue Frenchie? Do you KNOW how much I don't need another dog in my life but want one anyway? And you're only a few hours from me? GAH. STAHP!
