(The upcoming world of warcraft expansion) I got in!!! I've barely played in the last year or two but the FIRST ROUND of invites went out this morning and I got one! If this is some kind of trick to get me playing again....congratulations, it totally worked. Can't wait to get home from work and install it!
Ok so right now they're putting up a new build and the realms have been down for about 24 hours at this point, so I had a little free time to recap my experience so far
It started off with lots of this:
Not surprising. The whole first day I could barely get anything done because of constant DCs, but after that it was playable at least and it's been getting better and better.
Here's the "Awesome In-Game Event" right before you flee Tanaan Jungle to Shadowmoon Valley. You see, you can tell it's an awesome in-game event because they tell you
But pretty soon after that, you get to start on the quests to build your garrison! This was buggy as crap and I kept phasing in and out constantly. Here I am fighting a mob that's attacking me while I'm phased:
After a couple of days of slow progress I finally got through that set of quests and things were working a lot better. I got my garrison established!
Also someone found a world boss hanging around and everyone in the zone rushed to help kill it. Of course since the level cap right now is 92 barely anyone could hit it and its AOE attacks killed most of the group repeatedly. But he was finally zerged down! I read later on the forums that he doesn't even have loot yet, lol.
Overall it's been really fun to help test things out! So far it's fun but not terribly different than the rest of the 1-90 leveling experience, although I haven't done much with my garrison yet and I think that could be interesting. Most of my gripes so far are druid-specific and I'm hopeful they'll be fixed before release
