I think you kind of lose your right to bitch about not feeling well if all you are doing is putting more nasty shit into your system instead of resting and letting it reset.
Aren't those both for constipation? I thought you were only nauseous.
I am nauseous. But can't constipation cause nausea? I don't know how to tell if I'm constipated. I haven't had a satisfying poop in a couple of days either.

I think it's pretty clear I don't know what the hell I'm doing here, guys.
Actually it can. H had an episode about a yr ago where he wasn't feeling well, super nauseous, even threw up a few times. It went on for a few days. After a day or so of assuming it was a bug I asked when he last pooped. It was a couple days before. He tried prune juice (which was HILARIOUS since he hates it), miralax, ect. He ended up having to go the enema route. Worked like a charm and he felt better almost instantly.
He would be SO mad if he knows I told you all the last part! (devil)
I hope you are prepared. My ex-h was given this mixture when he was backed up from pain meds and the nurses called it "the bomb". They weren't kidding.

Noooooooooooo it doesn't.
It sure can! My grandma always used to ask if I needed to poop when I had a stomach ache. I always thought it was ridiculous, but it was true more than a few times.

This was my mom's first question when we had stomach aches as kids. "Do you need to poop?" 99% of the time, she was right.

This gives me hope.
So is it safe to assume I should probably NOT eat a hot dog for lunch?
Dude. Eat something small and fibrous, possibly some fruit. And chug the water. You don't need more sodium if your issue is constipation. You want to get it OUT not keep it IN. Goofus.
I find it nearly impossible to lie down and rest when I otherwise feel fine. I'm way too antsy for that, and also the weather here is absolutely phenooooomenal so I want to be outside doing fun stuff. One day I can handle, but this is day four. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Um, I don't recommend going outside. And you definitely won't be doing anything fun.
Rest and fluids would have been my plan of action.

Eat whatever the hell you want. At this point, it won't be in your body for long.

I would probably advise against it. I might not eat at all, but I hate throwing up and would be afraid eventually my body would just say no and start rejecting anything else until I got rid of what was already in it.

Hahaha I knoooow. I was joking.
But those hotdogs do smell good.
For real though: watermelon gazpacho for supper: yay or nay?
I bet you don't have time to eat, or the inclination, really. You are a ticking time bomb at this point and I'm almost positive your intestines will be squeaky clean in about 4 hours.
I guess I stand corrected on the nausea/constipation, BUT...I really think you shouldn't try to "medicate" yourself so extensively. And yeah...if certain foods are sounding kinds of foods are sounding good, then you are on your way to being on the mend.
I would like a report back to see if the prune juice concoction offered any relief. : )

And boy do I hope that's what is the matter with you, otherwise this might not end well. FX for the best!
Also, you can feel nauseous and still like the smell of food, it probably just means you don't have a stomach virus, and that something else is the matter.
I did this mixture when I was pregnant and was backed up due to zofran. I never got anything explosive. I don't consider miralax to be a stimulating laxative? Maybe I am wrong, this is not my area of expertise. It can just pull water into the poop to help it move.
I think I eventually went the mag citrate route to really get things moving.
I'm one of those people who wants nothing to eat when I'm nauseous. Nothing sounds appetizing and food smells make me WANT to vomit if I haven't already.
My H is the opposite. When his stomach is upset, he eats. I still don't understand this. But apparently he's not alone in this? Who knew.
Last January, I had some bad constipation, I hadn't pooed in 5 days. I had tried everything I could think of.. eating activia yogurt, dried prunes, running, black coffee, etc. Finally, I decided to try prune juice. I didn't want to go to laxatives because I have a history of them with ED and now I like to steer clear if possible. So I drank maybe 2 cups of prune juice Thursday afternoon around four. Nothing happened that night, except for a slight stomach, which I thought was just being backed up.
Friday morning, I have a cup of black coffee and then have a satisfying (normal) poo. I head off to work thinking that I felt much better. A couple hours into work I start to get a quesy stomach, nothing bad, something I get sometimes after eating dairy (I had yogurt at breakfast). I thought it's just the yogurt. I go home for lunch, the stomach ache has increased. Now I think this isn't normal. Around 1:30, I'm walking back to work and I have to take off the belt on my coat because the pressure from the belt on my abdomen is too painful. At 2:30, I vomitted. At 3 I tell my boss I'm leaving. I barely made it in the door before explosive poo. This lasted for the next 36 hours. At one point, I wasn't going more than 10-15 minutes without running to the toilet. If I sat up, it sounded like there was a waterfall in my stomach and I had to RUN to the bathroom. It was awful, I don't think I've been that sick before.
I'm sure it was the prune juice. I hope this doesn't happen to you.
