Got woke up early Saturday morning and rushed up north cause my sister has gotten much worse. We left my other sister with her and we will go up again on Wednesday to take things up and help them. Her motor skills are about 20% and the light has gone out of her eyes.
Now I sit by the phone waiting to get called up north.

We went down to the mountains to go for a hike/camping with my parents Saturday. Well, it was super windy, cold and raining off and on so the hike was out, but we played games, ate too much, made s'mores, and were able to go for a walk around the lake. Though cold it was so gorgeous. I love it there. Sunday we woke up, had breakfast and wondered downtown. It was still freezing though, so no hike. I got some Reese's pieces peanut butter fudge at the candy store before lunch and then MH and I made the hour long drive home. He went to a bar and watched soccer and I ran on the treadmill while it hailed and rained. Such beautiful weather this weekend

I had a great weekend!
Friday was nothing fancy. Pizza by the slice with my man and some tv time.
Saturday I shopped with my sister most of the day. Then hubby and I made dinner and sat on our patio for a few hours, drinking, talking and listening to music. It was lovely.
Sunday we cleaned out the shed and sanded the patio one last time. It is 100% complete! All ready for our BBQ on the fourth! I'm so happy!

Friday we did some grocery shopping and lounged around watching TV. I'm all caught up on PLL now and started on OITNB.
Saturday we slept in, BF did some yard projects, we did a quick lunch and went to see Transformers - we weren't expecting much and we were still disappointed. We had tons of ppl show up for the drunken Mario Cart game night. It was a lot of fun!
Sunday we were suppose to mow but it was raining off and on all weekend and it's way too wet to do anything. We went to a little Italian place for lunch, got some ice cream, and went to get a few new shirts for BF. My phone alert for flash flooding woke me up last night and the storm stole our recycling bin. Now we have to figure out how to get a new one.

We had a great time at the reception on Saturday! We didn't know anybody except for the couple we were there to honor, but once it was time to eat, we got to know one couple very well. On the menu was fried chicken and champagne...apparently that's the big thing these days. Odd, but the champagne was fantastic and the food was delicious! And they sincerely appreciated the gift to the Human Rights Campaign - they said it was perfect! (Thanks, lizardesque)
I accomplished almost everything I set out to get done this weekend - plus some! I hung my gallery (love it!), I bought paint supplies for the front door - and even painted the frame which I hadn't planned on doing, and tidied up the catch-all room and vacuumed. I didn't have time to scrub my tub, but I'll be doing that one evening this week.
Great weekend! Friday I left work at 2 to go the MVA (blech) but finally got everything resolved with registering and insuring our Rx7 as a historic vehicle. I had enough time afterward to get the windows on my Beetle tinted-- it looks great! Then I took a pole class and met G at an outdoor festival for live music and beer. Went to the bar after that, and then stopped by our neighbors' to drop of a cooler and ended up hanging out until 4am. It was quite a day/night!
Saturday we got some work done around the house, then went to our neighbors' for a party. Finally crashed sometime after the sun was up.
Sunday we slept in and then went to the O's game with our local college alums. Perfect weather and lots of free food and beer! Spent the rest of the night watching movies and not moving, lol.

My weekend was pretty awesome - my H and I ended up going out to dinner on Friday night, and talked about everything and anything. It was awesome, and the first time in awhile we've been out and not distracted/with friends. Then came home and hung out on the deck for awhile.
Saturday, we got a bunch of stuff done around the house, then went to dinner at another couple's house. Which was technically the only downside of the weekend. (She is a very negative person, who gets stuck on really weird things, we brought and cooked them dinner (they have a ~14 month old), and they didn't say thank you for. It just kind of left a bad taste in both of our mouths.)
Sunday, we got some pool time in, fixed a few outlets in the house, and got much of the stuff done we needed to, except laundry, lol.

It was pretty good. We stayed in and grilled both Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday during the day was filled with yoga and some errands. Yesterday, we went out for brunch with a couple of friends and their <1 year-old daughter. She was cute and fairly well behaved, so that was good...and a bloody mary or two never hurts.
What a couple of rude asses. It was very thoughtful of you.
This was my thought as well. Though I am not sure I should be surprised, unfortunately. We also made them a lasagna when their daughter was born, and brought over steaks one night about 8 months ago, since they couldn't leave the house for a variety of reasons, and they didn't really say thank you then, either. It's one of my H's best friend's, and he's a spaz, and she just kind of sucks at human decency. I'm a sucker, and will keep doing it, because it's the only way H can hang out with them, and I am too nice. And I kind of figure, hey I am cooking anyway, what's enough for two more people?
It was the best weekend! Friday I had two interviews with 2 different newspapers, then we stayed home all night with our new kitty, Sansa! She is 2.5 years old and so adorable. We are slowly integrating her so that Chepo doesn't freak out. She needs to gain a pound or two, but is perfect otherwise.
Saturday I taught an early class and then we hung out at our friends pool. Sunday I taught two classes and then we took a motorcycle ride to Lake George. All in all, a great weekend!

Weekend was nice! Friday we went to a friends house for game night. It was fun but I was just really sleepy so I felt like sort of a downer.
Saturday I got my hair cut and colored, nothing dramatic but it was nice to feel pampered for a bit. In the afternoon we had a contractor over about some work we'd like done to the house. Then we went to Lowe's for some stuff we needed.
Yesterday we lounged around the house and L hung up our new ceiling fan. I don't love the way it looks but it sure was comfy last night! Then we went to see The Fault in our Stars (finally!) and it was really good. Stayed up too late and I'm paying for it this morning.
Friday night I saw S, and he told me he may be moving out of state for work. God, I hope so! Other than that, more of the same with him. Sad.
Saturday, I took a long walk picking up my veggies from the CSA, stopped at a farmer's market, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Later I went for a pedicure and made plans to meet up with my friend. We went out to dinner and then had a couple of beers out in the 'garden' of a local bar.
Sunday, I slept in, cleaned, watched TV, prepped my veggies, picked up a few things at the store and cooked dinner. I had been needing a day like this, and it was glorious!
alabasterangel- I'm done with OITNB, watched 7 seasons of Weeds (there's 8), and thinking about watching PLL when I'm done. Good choice or would you recommend something better?
I didn't care for Weeds. I love PLL, it's centered around teens though if that matters. Slightly reminds me of Gossip Girl.
All I know about PLL is they get a text from a dead girl named A. I never saw Gossip Girl.
To summarize: There's a group of friends who have a friend who died. They get messages from someone (possibly her) who blackmails them for various things and basically makes their lives miserable. There are lots of plot twists and the acting is pretty good.
MyName - Do you think it's a real possibility he'll move for work?
Yeah, normally he would. We moved here for his job, but I like the city more than he does. It would be a promotion to the corporate office (right now he is corporate regional for NYC), so I would expect it to be a very positive move career-wise. Plus, his sister lives in the same state, so that could be nice. Fingers crossed!
