Geek recommendation

I don't know if any of you like box of the month type things, but my husband gets one called Loot Crate. Each month has a theme and you get geeky/gamer things that fit that theme each month. Sometimes there are T-shirts in the boxes. And all the other things change depending on the theme for the month. Each month they give out one "mega crate" it is always big and has cool things in it. It's random as to which subscriber gets it. But, it's cool that you could have a chance to get it. 

My husband is a big fan and I keep meaning to come here and recommend it. I thought some of you might like it.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while. I'm in the middle of doing upgrades on my house to sell it and just can't justify the added expense, but I know that the one t-shirt more than makes up for the cost. I'm debating...

My STBXH gets the Loot Crate and he is usually fairly happy with it.

I can understand not wanting to add another expense. That was my biggest argument against it. I ended up doing it as his Christmas present, which I thought was a nice compromise. 

My H has been happy with the things that have been in the boxes. There isn't a t-shirt in every box. He's gotten it since January and I think he's gotten 4 t-shirts. They are always Loot Crate exclusive ones, which is something my H likes. I'm not as in to all the geek things he is, but I think the shirts have been cool. Some of the themes he hasn't been as into, and if there are things in those that he doesn't want/like he gives them to people he knows that will like them.

One of the funnier things that have been in a box was when the theme was "dragons". They had special jerky made, it was green and they called it dragon jerky. I thought that was creative.
