Did you see the announcement? Official announcement of a special and a new three-episode season. The special will film in January 2015, filming dates of the series not specified. Urgh, I hope they don't shoot in January and make us wait for a Christmas special!

Yay! Did you see the extra interview thing on Netflix? I added it to my queue but haven't watched it yet.
No! What is that? The "Sherlock Uncovered" thing, or something new? I've had trouble finding info about the announcement today since almost all social media sites are blocked from work, so if anyone can cut and paste I'll be grateful! :-)
I think that's it. Sorry I'm behind the Sherlock times! I'm waiting myself wait to watch season 3 until I can devote my full attention. Probably when H goes on his hobby vacation in a couple weeks and I'm not so consumed with my garden. It's killing me a little more each day...

"The dramatic finale of the third series, Sherlock: His Last Vow has made the shortlist for Outstanding TV Movie. Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of the title role has been recognised in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie category and his co-star, Martin Freeman is included in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie shortlist for his role as Watson.

Also, a random...for those who missed it last time around, the National Theatre Live has announced additional encore showings of the Benedict Cumberbatch / Jonny Lee Miller play "Frankenstein" (directed by Danny Boyle) in October. From what I understand both actors and the director have requested that this never be released on DVD, so this may be your last chance to see it. I'm hoping they'll announce more sites as it gets closer...last time we were able to see it pretty close by, but right now it's showing the closest screening to be more than 100 miles away. We saw it with Jonny Lee Miller as the creature, and I'd really like to see it the other way around, since the creature really has the largest part. Not that BC didn't look good in a frock coat and all, but...
