Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that Chris is the nicest guy EVER?
and the next Bachelor better be "Farmer Bachelor" because that would be so fun!
Who is she gonna pick?
And...how do you think they handled Eric Hill's death?
Overall, I have liked watching a season of pretty trashy reality TV where the "star" (Andi) has been fairly intelligent and engaged in actual conversation with her prospective rose-wearers. Her questions and discussions are noticeably different than past seasons, that's for sure.
melmo1122, dont you find Josh's story...about how he quit pro ball to help his brother / he was sick of the lifestyle kind of odd? I need to google that up to get backstory.

Chris...so sweet, I hope she picks him but think she probably won't.
Josh...he's growing on me but something is odd there. He's only 29 and hasn't been playing for 7 years so he quit at 22 to focus on himself? Also, he made a comment about how he played in mostly rural towns and DH happened to be passing by and heard that. DH said, "there's no way he played pro baseball in a rural town. It was obviously farm teams." So maybe he just wasn't good enough? I googled his brother Aaron and he did get drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs so her life would be all about football.
Nick...I am in Chicago (where he lives) and my SIL has a friend who works with him. Apparently he is a total sleeze bag. I don't like him.
I liked Marcus. I like Chris too but I think he looks funny. I don't care for Josh or Nick, mainly because I think they are both more interested in being on the show than being with her.
I honestly think they are all way too blah to be the next bachelor.

I think he wasn't good enough for Major League Baseball, but making it sound like his choice sounds better.

You are dead right - from bleacherreport.com
Josh himself is an accomplished athlete. In 2002, the Milwaukee Brewers drafted Prince Fielder with their first overall selection in the MLB draft. Fielder, of course, has hit nearly 300 home runs and posted a career .285 batting average in the big leagues. The Brewers' second pick that year was Josh Murray, a utility infielder out of Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida.
Murray bounced around the minor leagues for several seasons before ultimately giving up on his baseball dream. But his time in professional baseball was hardly a net loss. According to Mike Readling of the St. Petersburg Times, Murray's baseball contract yielded a signing bonus of $825,000 and $100,000 for future collegiate education at the college of Josh's choosing.

@shoegal, I totally agree wrt Andi. She seems more willing to ask "hard"(er) questions and engage in intelligent conversation than we usually see on this show.
I just adore Chris. And how sweet is his family? She is obviously not going to choose him, and I wonder if he's still around because he's a candidate for the next Bachelor. He seems like the only option, really . . . Nick is not likable enough, and Josh does not have enough interesting stuff to say to fill a season of the Bachelor (it would be like Juan Pablo all over again).
I think she'll pick Josh. And good luck to her---I can't imagine joining that family. I found the whole sequence of them playing baseball in his hometown odd. The emotion that was built/played up around it seemed so overdone. I mean, I don't doubt that the guy has mixed feelings about baseball, but all of the, "I haven't touched a bat in SEVEN YEARS . . . it's so STRANGE being here . . . " . . . it felt like he was revisiting a crime scene or something. Maybe the producers are just trying desperately to give him some depth?
Nick has really sweet moments, but I don't know. Maybe I'm falling for the editing, but he seems so cocky.
jerseyjaybird, yes, the baseball diamond thing was SO WEIRD with Josh! He is a very "nice" guy, but seems very 1-dimensional. His conversations with her are just....really weird. The best part of him all season is when the bird pooped on him - quite actually the most interesting discussion he had across all 8 wks.
I have enjoyed this season too. It is so much more interesting when they pick Bachelors and Bachelorettes who are a little smarter. The conversations are better.
Oh, and I thought it was super-sleazy to film everyone's reactions to Eric's death.
I felt so awkward watching that.
It was really interesting that they broke the 4th wall and showed all the producers.
AND - is it weird that all these guys that "love" her, but when she is going through a breakdown hearing the news about Eric, not one of them reached out to her, consoled her. I found that to be VERY odd. The female producer that came over really reached out to her - no one else did. :/
I think she will pick Josh too. Nick gives the creepy vibe. Chris (although I like him) is too small town. I mean he really wants her to be a sahm? That would never float. The town he lives in has less than 800 people. Probably no room for an attorney. I find the whole "I left baseball because of the lifestyle" a lie. I mean who leaves when they could make a million dollars a year?
I want Brian to be the next bachelor. I really liked him

YES---so weird! Although it seemed like all of the producers wanted a hug from Chris, which warmed my little Chris-loving heart.
From time to time, Chris Harrison gives a "we're all a family here at the Bachelor(ette)" speech, so I wasn't surprised that they showed the producers. I was surprised that they put the camera down but had it continue to film---and then aired all of it. I don't know. It felt kind of exploitative to me. Were they really at Chris Harrison's house?
jerseyjaybird - I heart Chris, too - check out this blog if you haven't seen it - they were really at his house! I think Chris explained a lot of his thinking here - it did feel a bit macabre to me in the moment, but it would have also been weird if they just...glossed over it?
Eric inspired me, and I hope he inspired others, too. I can't imagine what it must have felt like for his family, though, to see this (if they even watched.)

They showed that he said she could be a homemaker in the previews, but then on the actual show, he said he was being funny. I wonder where he is in Iowa. I grew up in a rural area in IL and the closest town had a population of about 1500, but then there was another town about 15 minutes away that is about 100,000 and has two universities. Most of the people from the small town worked in the larger town. So, there may be a larger city close by too.

Thanks---I hadn't seen that! It's a little weird that the blog kind of suggests that they had two options: show all the raw footage or gloss it over. There's an awfully wide swath between those two scenarios! Especially for the producers and crew, who haven't signed up to have their every movement and word filmed and broadcast, I think it would have been nicer to let them have a moment to grieve privately. Maybe broadcast footage of all of them telling stories about Eric or something from later in the evening? I don't know; I can see Chris's perspective, but it felt like they deserved a moment or two of privacy.

I like Josh for Andi. I think they just work together. They have great chemistry, they look alike, neither of them would have to move. I don't know it just makes sense.
I don't like Nick or Chris. Nick is weird, and Chris just squints and I'm not interested in the farming and I will be disappointed if he is the next bachelor.
As for how they handled Eric's death. I don't know, it was a tricky situation. They definitely had to address it. I think they did the best they could. They really couldn't win either way. I agree that it was weird that none of the guys moved to comfort her, but maybe they felt like they couldn't.
I of course favor Chris, mainly because he seems so sweet, and he's from Iowa. He is from a town north of Cedar Rapids, so about 3 hours or so from me. I like the farming aspect too. Andi could definitely practice law if she wanted to continue with that, if they lived in Iowa. Cedar Rapids is so close, as is Waterloo and Dubuque.

Chris just seems like such "good people" to me! His family was lovely.
I am seriously praying for Bachelor: Farmer Chris, though. I want all kinds of farm-related dates, please!!!

I am really hoping she picks him. His family is so normal...very much how Iowa is (for the most part). Farm dates are the best!
Nick seems shady and fake. Chris seems great but who wants to live on a farm in Iowa in a town with 700 people? Apparently he is super successful though so there's that. I don't really care for Josh but he makes sense since they live in the same area. I think the ones that think they are gonna make a long distance relationship work are kidding themselves because that rarely works. Well the show rarely works in general but we'll see.
I haven't seen the latest episode yet I was surprised that Nick got the first rose. At first I thought he seemed timid, but now he is calculating and slick.
I think Chris has more strategy and game than he is given credit for. The love letters definitely helped him win over a lot of viewers, and it put him in the running to be the next Bachelor.
Josh is hot, but all the emphasis on his baseball history got old fast.
Also, did anyone find it kind of cute that Andi was SO impressed with the fact that Chris owns a home? She loved it! Wow a house!
#TeamFarmer
It was cute! A house? And this is all your stuff? And you live you alone? She seemed really impressed.
I'd love to see a Farmer Bachelor, but can they pick someone in the final 3? Is the men tell all next week? If so, isn't that when they announce the next bachelor? I don't think Andi picks him, and he'd make a great new season, but I'm not sure that it would work out with the timing of their announcement.
I think she chooses Josh. I guess he's OK, but I was majorly turned off last week with the whole lie detector test thing. He seemed irrationally upset about something that was just meant in good fun, and then continued to defend his response later in the week!
I don't know. I honestly don't like any of them that much. Josh - Sorry he reminds me way too much of that guy from There's Something About Mary. The way he talks, the way he acts. Ugh...too cocky and alpha male for me. Chris - wonderfully nice, but it would never work. She's never moving to Iowa. Nick - I kind of like him, but he definitely has a sleaze factor and there must be some reason no one likes him
I don't think any of them will work out in the end. She'll pick someone, but we'll read about a breakup in the tabloids in a few months post show.
Not sure who the next Bachelor will be, none of them scream Bachelor to me. As much as Chris is a nice guy, I don't really want to watch him on tv. He's a little boring.
