I've been to 16 and I'm feeling pretty good about that number. Although one trip to Italy got me 4 of those. And apparently I went to the wrong places in Spain when I was there, oh well.
New York Las Vegas San Francisco
Paris Mont Saint Michel
Venice Rome Vatican City Florence
London
Athens Oia
Lisbon
Marrakech
Cusco
ETA: I couldn't help myself, I had to go back and organize by country.
I'm at 22. Some of them were a very good reminder of trips I need to take (Vienna, Petra, Marrakech).
But a few of them I really have no desire. There's so much more of India I want to see before I bother with Varanasi. Religious sites in India (especially ghats) always feel overly crowded with tourists, dirty, and generally disappointing.
And I really don't want to go to Venice, even though I think I should.

I didn't have a strong urge to go, but I really enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I want to go back in the fall/winter when the city is flooding.

11 for me although it will be 12 next month when I go to Peru and can check off Cuzco.
There are so many cities on the list that I'm dying to visit still, with my top five being Havana, Istanbul, Prague, Cartagena, and Jerusalem.
Venice is a city that I would love to see even though I know people either absolutely love or it hate it. I think I'll be in the love camp but who knows.
I saw this a few days ago, I have been to a bunch (ETA:30, I just counted):
Venice, Seville, New York, London, Marrakech, Petra, Rome, Florence, Kyoto, Paris, Beijing, Granada, Kathmandu, Vatican City, Lisbon, Tokyo, Istanbul, Hoi An, Amsterdam, Jaipur, Vienna, Cusco, Zanzibar, Singapore, Las Vegas, Sydney, San Francisco, Dubrovnik, Prague, and Budapest
Of these, I think my most fond memories are of Hoi An. I'm a big fan of NYC also because it is my 'home' turf, but I know a lot of people hate NYC/think it is dirty.
I'm also at 21. Love seeing Samarkand mentioned, that's been on my bucket list for years and years. Waiting until my kids get older and then hoping to take a trip to multiple Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan.
I'm at 17 and while there are some I hope to add to the list (Petra, Siem Reap), there are others I have no intention of ever setting foot in (Jerusalem, Varanasi).
