I was so kidding, but thanks. You are really fast.
It would certainly make things more interesting. I know I have wanted to dislike things in the past but overall not sure I would really want a dislike button.
I love Tims and miss it dearly. Last time I was in MI, I may have eaten a whole big box of Timbits by myself (shame).
However, I would take a crunchy, messy everything bagel with cream cheese, capers, lox, tomato over a doughnut 9 times outta 10. Damn now I want me some bagels.
I may be alone in my like of Dunkin. Not saying they are the best, I just prefer them over Krispy Kreme. I enjoy a bread-like donut that is not too sticky and they fit the bill. I probably should be banned from the donut-lovers club and go back to the bread-lovers corner.
KK has just as much variety as DD. In fact, 9 times out of 10 I'd rather have something other than an original hot how anyway. But understand, I also grew up with our local KK being a regional bakery so they were all fresh. My personal favorite the chocolate iced-cream filled. DD's version doesn't hold a candle to KK's.
A fresh DD cannot compete with a fresh KK. The problem is it's hard to get fresh KK except for the glazed. I don't think KK makes other varieties fresh as often throughout the day as DD does. Another problem is that KK is greasy. DD is not quite greasy enough. I would like a hybrid. Ultimately, if it 7:30 am and a DD and a KK are next door to one another, I'm going to KK. So is pretty much the world, except for people who love DD's coffee, and they're just making two stops. I don't drink coffee, so one stop. KK.
I have do much respect for the care and effort you put into this analysis.
The only KK donut I've ever eaten was not fresh - someone brought a box up to where I went to college so they were probably at least a couple of days old. They weren't bad.
I don't like donuts though. I would never, ever choose one over a different breakfast.
The only doughnut worth eating is the old fashioned glazed, which I can barely find anywhere in the east coast. What's with the lack of love for crispy cakey glazedness?!
