DH got his repaired it wasn't that bad! It wouldn't close though bc it was so swollen
Unfortunately my computer is considered "vintage," so they said they might not even have parts for it anymore. I'll have to look online for a replacement battery. I need to start saving for a new one.
My laptop had so many things dead or dying that it wasn't worth messing with any more. We got This Chromebook to replace it. So far, it's absolutely perfect for me. It's pretty much a tablet with a full keyboard- it has very little onboard memory, but you get 100gb of cloud storage for free for 2 years (then 1.99 a month after that). It has a super-long battery life and decent speakers, so it's a great Netflix box. The kids have already dropped it twice and it's fine. Plus, it has two USB ports and an SD card slot, so it's perfectly capable of dealing with pictures.
You can't download programs to it, so if you do a lot of Photoshop or something, it's not gonna do that. And if you do a lot of word processing, you'd have to get used to using Google Docs. Also, it can't play The Sims. But, if most of what you do can be done in Google Chrome, it's perfect.
Plus, it's only $200. DH has had one for several months and he's super happy with his, too.
I have been noticing that J looks different lately. Like, older, a KID. I think it has something to do with his hair growing out and even (he got a hack job last time, poor guy). I'm irrationally sad about that. I keep thinking about when he's a pain in the ass 11 year old and I'm gonna wish he was this age again.
Yeah, I have always hated when people say they don't do the NT because they wouldn't terminate anyway. It always seemed to be said with a tone that I would, which I find offensive.
When I was debating changing OBs for this pregnancy, I had already ruled out a few because my friends say them and the OB's advice was not to get the NT unless you're going to terminate. Sorry, nope, don't need you coming anyway near my vagina.
We are watching the episode of Buffy where John Ritter plays Buffy's mom's boyfriend and DH and I both reacted the same way: "haha hey! Awww " Like, we were excited to see him in it, then remembered he died. So sad.
I watched that one recently and thought the same thing.

This morning I told DH the story about bigapple 's C putting pasta up his nose. Later at lunch M grabbed her pasta and was laughing as she started shoving it up her nose! OMG! She was listening to me earlier! She has never put anything up her nose before. Fortunately the pasta didn't get very far and I didn't have a repeat of bigapple's experience!
I bought Matilda some princess undies for our potty training this weekend. She saw them after daycare and wanted to wear them. From 5 until 830 she wore her undies and didn't have a single accident! She peed on the toilet maybe 5 times. I know that's a brief time period but it's made me dread the weekend slightly less. Especially Friday (day 1) when I will have them both alone all day. Noooo
Also I left an arm out of Williams swaddle. We shall see what the night brings....
Julian always ninjad his arms out of the swaddle, he'd position them like a baby kangaroo holding a pouch...the startling MOTN wasn't worn the cuteness though.

When we did this R became a thumb sucker and in terms of sleep it's been the best thing ever. She can soothe herself so easily now. May W find comfort from the elusive thumb!
