So, I obviously haven't "been there, done that" yet, but here's what I've bought in preparation so far: gripe water, baby wipes (we already have our CD stash completed), washable breast pads (OK, I bought these because I already need them due to all the leaking), baby Tylenol drops, Sitz bath herbal "tea," and gel breast pads. I plan to start stocking up on snacks and such in about a month (a month before my due date), and that list currently ncludes instant steel-cut oats, coconut water, Japanese rice crackers (my salty craving lately), and string cheese. I add to the list when something specific pops into my mind. I've also been stockpiling good beers in our basement since I got pregnant. I'm a beer snob and look forward to certain seasonal beers each year, so I've bought those plus any limited-release ones that caught my eye. My "beer cellar" is about 24 bottles strong! ;D
Particularly: plain almonds dark chocolate pomegranate treats (I wasn't drinking wine so that was my anti-oxidants...it's healthy! ) pretzel thin chips berries pre-cut up veggies cashew clusters Lara bars Edamame
Also, LeCroix flavored waters.
Other stuff: Cheap PJ pants from Target, etc. that you can throw away when the carnage is over Always Infinity Giant granny underwear Breast pads--The leaking was awful nocturnally and I did not realize how much I would leak when she ate on one side at the beginning. She was probably 11 weeks before I stopped thinking I peed the bed every time I woke up in a puddle of my own milk. It did calm down after that, I promise. Extra sheet sets to deal with the leaking grossness Oxyclean Large bags frozen peas/corn to ice your tatas when your milk comes in Tons and tons of blank thank you notes Stamps
