I guess the juice and soda difference to me is that adults get hooked on soda quite often, but not juice.

I think this might be a convenience issue as well as the caffeine like skwcm80 said. But you can't go anywhere and get juice out of a fountain like you can with soda.
Some of my family are suffering in Iraq with the Chaldean Christian plight, and I want to help them. It's making me feel incredibly assholish that the refugee programs in canada and the states are not taking in Iraqis at this time. It's just frustrating when they call with hope in their voices and I have to tell them this isn't working. I'm really hoping the program opens again this yr, I think that's my UO, that it's closed and helping them is next to impossible.
I am totally addicted to pop, I have at least one diet pepsi a day. I really don't want M to be addicted like I am, I started at a very young age thanks to my mom who really only drinks pop and coffee. She never drinks anything else like water or anything. M has stolen sips from my cans that are left around before so she totally knows what it is.

@gisa, I've known people who got tattooed while breastfeeding. All were nursing into toddlerhood. I'd do it if I knew I was going to be nursing for a long time. I trust the cleanliness of the places I go.

I would do it, but the places here absolutely refuse. Chris has a friend who Is getting into the tattooing business and we might use him.
Are you near Dallas? I'd 100% trust Elm St, if you are. It may be hard to get an appt there, though since it's kinda famous now.

I'm not a big fan of cuddling. I hate when L ends up in my bed and is practically asleep on top of me cause he wants to snuggle so tight. Yeah, it's cute and loving... For a minute. Then I need you to stay on your side of the bed!
A has had a sip of soda is we're out and H or I gets it. We have a soda stream, but most just use it for sparkling water or seltzer. Although, I LOVE the diet grapefruit soda! I can't normally drink diet soda because it gives me migraines, but this doesn't. A thinks anything carbonated is soda, so if she asks at home, she gets flavored seltzer. Win.
I can't decide if I want to cover my tattoo up with a larger, brighter tattoo or get it removed. Something needs to be done.
I side-eye my neighbors who don't recycle. The recycling pick up is part of the city bill we pay. Perhaps they save it and cash it in. Idk.
I am really irritated by the California official who said a brown lawn should be a badge of honor. Our houses arethisclose to each other. Seriously, my little patch of grass is not draining the water reserves.
I love soda and drink it several times a week but I will not let may have it basically ever. I really blamemy parents for letting me drink unlimited coke from age 6 on and I got totally addicted. I've mostly replaced it with coffee now but still I crave soda.

Probably not but collectively if everyone watered their little strip of grass, it would add up to a lot of water. I don't know much about the situation but I would think that if public officials were saying not to water your grass I might take them seriously. But, you know, having green grass is more important than having fresh drinking water and showers and stuff.

But, it is. Especially when people collectively think like this.
I don't hate tattoos, but I'm not a huge fan of them. I dislike facial piercings. The whole scrunchie thing made me think about how much I hate the "messy bun." I'll never understand why it's a good thing to deliberately make your hair look like you just rolled out of bed.
I'm still really annoyed our HOA made us put more grass in the back than we wanted. Colorado can have droughts so we wanted just a small patch of grass in the back, and they said no, 50% of it had to be grass.
ETA: I also don't understand the point of front yard grass, ours is so small you can't play in it but once again our HOA makes you have a certain grass amount.
Matilda's favorite beverage is bubbly water. She LOVES it. I prefer she have it than juice. I also prefer she has it than milk usually. If she drinks milk she won't eat her food
As for actual soda, I doubt she will get it at my hands basically ever. Like I can't picture myself handing her a coke to drink.
But, we were at a frozen birthday party and they had blue punch of some sort. I have no idea what it was but I'm sure it was full of crap. Every other child was drinking it so I let her have it.

I wouldn't let Ada have a blue punch because she would look like a damn smurf when she was done drinking it. Why are kids drinks so colorful when they are the people that spill everything?

She was wearing a shiny new white dress too. So dumb. Blue punch and pizza

I wish I hated soda. I only really like Diet Coke. I can pass on all others. It sucks because I didn't drink any soda from about age 12-21. When I started serving/bartending, it was always there, so I drank it. I had a bad habit right out of college, then gave it up for the most part. Only had a few Diet Cokes during pregnancy, but since then it's been about 3 a week.
What's funny is that my parents didn't restrict us from it. We always had Mt. Dew at my house, but I never got into it. My friends loved coming to my house because we had all the good soda and treats.
I'm very addicted to soda and drink too much. Especially for being pregnant (I don't go over the caffeine recommendation but that amount is actually a lot of soda) I need to stop but I can't. I love it. I crave it. I don't like water. I crave the carbonation- not just the other stuff.
We don't keep soda in our house, but I do love diet coke and will get one every now and then. DHs favorite is an ice cold can of sprite with Chinese food. We don't plan on letting S have soda any time soon, maybe when he's 5 or 6 as a treat. My parents were super hippies and I didn't have a soda till I was like 10 and was at a new friends house for a play date. It was a root beer and it was delicious, lol. I do sometimes buy the Pellegrino pompelmo sodas and Silas has had sips and loves them.
I'm crazy addicted to diet coke. But I figure I exercise , eat decently well, don't do drugs, rarely drink... I will have my soda.
Henry is 7 and had soda for the first time a few months ago when he had an upset stomach (sprite). I'm trying to keep it away from him as long as possible. It isn't really a presence in his age group/friends yet. Gatorade is the current battle.

rainbowchip and charlielove, they are not telling people not to water. We have restrictions and are following them.
However, in the news in the past few months there have been illegal marijuana grows that have been found to be stealing water from reserves, and a bunch of pipe breaks in the city. The city needs to slowly retrofit all of its old pipes.
The real problem is that CA hasn't done anything to increase its water supply since the 70s, but the population has increased exponentially. - according to doc on the roc....I'm not sure how reliable that is.

And fwiw, the city gives us an allotment of water. Whatever we use that is within that allotment is charged at a normal rate. Anything over is charged at a much higher rate. Since we've lived here, we have always used 50 percent or less. If cities want to conserve more, they should change the allotments during droughts. People and businesses are very motivated by money.
It is such a pet peeve of mine to see daycares and preschools with intentional misspellings in their names. For example, "Kidz" or "Korner". Even worse, "Kidz Korner". I don't see the appeal.
this drives me insane too. H got a quote from a painting company called Majic. I told him it was automatically out because i have no respect for them.
