I think it's beautiful, but agree that it's rather low-cut for church, especially with a christening, I assume you'll kind of be in the center of attention? A silk camisole that will pull up easily might work best for nursing.

Have you tried the skinny Dr. Browns bottles? E is a bottle hater but he took right to those bottles. I was surprised because he wouldn't take the breast flow ones.

Hmm I'm not sure. We have Dr. Browns but I don't think they are skinny. I got these latch bottles that Laurack recommended but we haven't tried them yet. For some reason I'm feeling like I could get her to take a bottle from me, which doesn't help me much, but it would be a start. My husband has been the one trying and he doesn't really "know" her, which sounds weird, but I feel like I would be better at it.
Instead of belly bands, I have some cheap stretchy camis I cut the top off of (so it's just a tube). I've successfully worn one of those as a cleavage-cover with V-neck dresses, and it's easy enough to pull it up over a boob while the dress goes to the side.
Basically, a cheap bandeau bra works well in these situations.
Have you tried Comotomo bottles? E refused all bottles at a point except for those - they were awesome (well, not the price)
TrudyCampbell, I have an unopened box of these (two) because it seemed like Theo would take them so I got excited and bought lots and then...he didn't.
But now I have some I can send you if you want to try them. Just let me know.
Have you tried the Comotomo bottles? I bought two for L and had to buy more for E. My little girl is apparently high maintenance because they are the only bottle she will take ( and most expensive). You can even squeeze them like a boob.
I want to put him in A's and that's flameful unless he's Prince George, lol.
ETA: he's also like 6,000 times too big for it, haha.
L wore a long English style christening gown . E is going to wear it, too. However, he will probably major side eye me when he is older and she won't. Lol
Give it a shot. I started off feeding him and now he'll take it from DH.
How long did it take for him to start taking bottles from your H? We have been working on this for a while now and I am starting to get discouraged.
He took it from him a few days after I figured out that he'd take that bottle. He certainly takes more from me than he will from DH. He seems to have a bit of a shallow latch so I think this is why he takes that one instead of the breastlike ones.
He's 18 weeks and I just got him to take a bottle last week. Good luck!
