awick14 Last year my dad had a really bad car accident. My sister took my nieces to take cookies to the fire station to say thank you for helping my dad. We also go to church with one of the guys that was on scene. They appreciated the cookies, but also getting an update because they don't get to find out the happy endings very often.
I am eating the BEST hummus for lunch right now. It's from a local restaurant, and it is so good.
I'm looking forward to going to Target later today. I live within walking distance, so I'm always at that store.
I would be so broke if I could walk to Target. I love that store and I feel like I always spend at least 50 dollars envy time I go in there, no matter what I actually went in there to buy, lol
Today is draaaaging. Work isn't actually too terrible, but we moved yesterday and I so badly want to just be at home unpacking. Also now I want to buy all of the things, since we have more space. I have a wish list I've been writing all day, lol
I had a Hershey's sundae pie for lunch. It was amazing
I had a job interview on Friday that I think went so good! They're still doing interviews this week, so I might not hear anything for a bit, but I'm super hopeful. Trying not to get my hopes too high though, in case it doesn't pan out. Waiting to hear about interviews is the worst- HoneySpider, I'm sure you're right there with me

((hugs)) wanderingenough! Sorry you are having a rough day. I hope it gets better and praying that AF stays the heck away!
awick14- That's awesome that you were able to get a positive update on your patient! I'm sure it's stories like those that make it easier to go into work and do all that you do!
HoneySpider- Wishing you and your DH all the best!!! Words cannot describe how much I want this and a BFP for you and your DH! Something has to happen soon because I cannot think of someone more deserving!
I have a MIL...in fact, this would go great in the thread we started not to long ago but I'm placing it here instead out of laziness.
My ILs can be so weird, I just doing get it (mainly MIL). They have a huge 5500 sq ft home and every closet is filled with junk, stuff that will never be used, etc...think hoarders and it's definitely pretty close.
This also extends to food. They have a huge pantry and it's filled, with a good 80+ percent of the things expired (and we're talking years). For example, yesterday I go to eat cereal. They have about 20 boxes of various cereals. The closest date I could find was cereal that expired two years ago. Fast forward to this morning...MIL wants to make pancakes, using a mix that expired 1 yr ago...and then the syrup had a date from 2008.
DH brought it up that it's strange and why, etc and now she's all butt hurt. I just went upstairs to clean some dishes and she practically ignored me and I can tell she's upset (mainly at DH for saying anything but also making it awkward for me). I honestly don't care what she/they do but I'm also not going to eat expired food and risk harming my unborn baby at this point. I'm not sure what's so weird or wrong with that and the need to be all defensive and passive aggressive. Vent over :/ Looking forward to going home in a few hours!

HoneySpider- Yes, I know! I have learned the "safe" stuff and the not-so-safe stuff so that makes it a little easier. I forgot to add...they brought a watermelon and cantelope out (had told us they were bringing it). So Sat after getting home from being on the boat, watermelon sounded really good so I asked MIL if I could have some, if I needed to cut it up, etc. Turns out, it was left in the car for 6 hours (10 from when they left their other house) in 100+ degree garage heat (hotter in the closed up car). They still cut it up and are eating it...
MrsMB- She will eventually get over it...but it won't happen before we leave today. Sometimes it lasts for an insane amount of time and we realize it months later when she's passive aggressive about something. There's quite some dysfunction surrounding the love.
H and I started a new workout routine yesterday. I was feeling good about it then, but I'm not looking forward to going home and working out tonight. I'm sore, tired from not sleeping, nauseous, and still dealing with AF.
luv2rn4fun That is really weird. It would be hard to trust eating anything there. I can't imagine why you would keep so much expired food around. They have to know that it is all out of date.
luv2rn4fun I got one more My Grandmother (Mom's Mom) was also bad for bringing foods that were uh.....not fit to be eaten or cooked funny. My brothers and I would all notify each other when we identified the dish she brought to potlucks. Safety first!
My phone decided to reset itself last night. I lost all my contacts, apps, everything. Except my music list that reappeared earlier so I am hoping everything else decides to reappear.

That is horrible! Fingers crossed that everything comes back- I would be so lost without all of my data
Yes. Freeze them in freezer bags and then if you want to pop them in the oven after they are dethawed at 360 for 4-5 minutes they will be as though they were baked fresh that day!

Awesome! I will be stopping there tomorrow to stock up then.

jjwritergirl once we know what's going on and are ready to actually move on something, I'm sure I'll have questions for you. I keep telling myself not to even look right now...

Well, I already found the house I want in Chicago, so I'm not the one to talk to there about not being over-eager. lol!
I don't blame you! Every time there's even a possibility we might move, I started looking at rentals/houses for sale. It's impossible not to think about it!

So we had new next door neighbors move in a few weeks ago. We'd met the husband before (a Pastor at a nearby church), but hadn't met the wife and kids yet. They were outside tonight when H and I got home from the gym. They had two gorgeous little girls (probably like 7 and 9) and the most beautiful sweet little boy (about 2) they adopted last year from Ethiopia. He was out in a walker because he can't walk well yet, and I had to go play with him. When I was leaving, the mom told him to tell me bye and he said bye-bye and waved. My ovaries hurt. Haha.
