Today is my first day back to work. So far, so good. D is staying with a dance CW on M & F. Tu-Th he'll be with my MIL, for the rest of the summer.

Went to my Dr's appt today for the echocardiogram. Lauryl's heart looks wonderful and healthy! Yay! I am very glad I opted to go to this appt though bc I am now on bed rest. I have a very short cervix. It is supposed to be 2.5 cm and mine is .43 cm. I am 26 weeks now and have to remain on bed rest until at least 32. Today and tomorrow I am having shots of something to help her lungs mature faster. Pray for us, please...

My demon child is more herself this week. She is getting into an imitation phase, but ot's pretty cute at this age. OMG, I love her so much!

Wed-Sun I will be at a conference in Orlando for Lactation Consultant stuff. I will be away from her for 5 whole days, from about 8-5. This will be the first time ever for that. She will be in Orlando with my H having a blast, but I am so sad. I am going to miss her! Hopefully H will have more of an appreciation of what I do after these 5 days, though. I don't know how moms work 5 days a week and don't get to see their kids for hours when they're this small. It must be so hard! I feel so lucky that I can still work and see her a lot, too, even though it's hard!

I hate to say it, but I'm just done. I can't wait until Caleb decides to make his appearance. I'm having tons of contractions and tons of pressure. Taking care of Kennedy is getting harder by the day. It's pretty pathetic, today I had to put her in her booster seat so I could put her shoes on! My inlaws are driving me nuts wanting to know when he's coming because the idiots planned their trip for 2 days after my EDD and planned on brining their family of SIX to stay at our house. Part of me wants to go past my EDD just to inconvenience them. Aside from waiting on Caleb to decide he's ready, we're all set for the home birth. H blew up the tub this weekend. I can't wait!

Kennedy is doing awesome. We're still struggling with bedtime every now and then and I'm not sure what to do about it. I think the issue is that she's not always getti enough energy out during the day. I need to find more rainy day activities, and figure out what to do with her after Caleb is born, when I won't be able to take her swimming. We're starting with a new speech therapist on Thursday and I'm crossing my fingers she works out. The last one was a disaster.

Oh trust me I've said no and will continue to. The current plan is that they will go to Orlando and stay with my inlaws, go to Disney, etc and IF it's been a reasonable amount of time they can come spend a night before they leave to go back home. If not, then they'll just have to come over for a few hours and hang out, etc. one of the girls (13) asked if she could fly down to be here for the birth because she wants to be an OBGYN. I was like are you effing kidding me? Oh and SIL asked if I've lost my mucus plug yet because apparently she this that's a good indicator of when he'll be born. Seriously? This woman has ad 4 kids and does not get that it's not cool to barge into someone's house that just had a baby??

Things are good here. I'll be 16 weeks on Thursday. Can't believe it already! I'm feeling better than I was, but still get super full really fast, and at night I get nauseous. Still have yet to throw up. Constipation is KILLING me, but I started taking the prenatals the Dr. gave me so hopefully that will kick in and start working.

Jen.. Good Luck! Can't wait to hear about Caleb's birth. I hope he makes his arrival sooner rather than later so you can get more comfortable.

T will be 1 in 2 short weeks. His 1 year pictures are Sunday, His party is next Saturday and then the rest of August will be to relax (hopefully.) He enjoys talking to himself a lot. He now says "hi there" "All done" "mama" "daddy" and "doggie". Some times you can't quite make out the difference between doggie and daddy but he will usually look at what he is saying. He is starting to take a few more steps here and there. We got him an activity walker and he is all over the house. It is so much fun to watch his personality bloom.

I am back! Please put me back on the thread. Melissa, mom to Mia 4/27/12. Now that I'm back to work I'll have more time to post, LOL. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone.

Mia is doing great! I went back to work last Monday and she started daycare. She is handling daycare well, we did already get cooties though...after just three days! I couldn't believe it happened so fast...eye infection and stomach virus. Luckily she was fine after a day and even when she wasn't feeling great she was still her same little, happy self.

Things are good here. Hit 32 weeks on Monday, so I'm finally getting into the home stretch. I am so anxious to have September get here already. I feel like because we found out so early on that I was pregnant, that the time is just taking FOREVER! I have my first shower this weekend and I am excited. I don't really like being the center of attention, but I am excited to spend the afternoon with my neighbors/friends (some women from my neighborhood are throwing this for me). It's so nice of them to do this for me.

I have been laid off from work and my last day was yesterday. So now I have time to finish up my to-do list before September. I plan to get several projects done around the house along with a good deep cleaning of our house. My dad is going to paint our master bedroom with some help from my hubby. I want the house to be nice, clean, and organized before the chaos of the baby!
