I sleep on my stomach with one arm above my head and the other curled up under me. Some mornings I wake up with sore shoulders and elbows. It's been happening for so long that I just consider it normal.

Yes. I'm 34 and have the same issue withy my arms. Can't speak to the alcohol thing as I can't drink, but if I stay up too late now I feel hungover. lol
Well, I had weird joint/pains in my body after I had David (for about 6 months). It stopped, though. The hungover thing is weird if you didn't drink the night before. IDK.
I wonder how long after you have a baby relaxin is present in your body.
Relaxin is present almost constantly, it peaks at different times during pregnancy as well as around ovulation and menstruation. I doubt relaxin has any impact on what Tamb's feeling though.
I sleep on my stomach by instinct, but when I do I wake up every damn morning with extreme lower back pain. So lately I've been using a freaking body pillow to hold me up/box me in so I stay on my side or back.
So, I don't have any advice for you, but I, likewise, hate everything about being older + sleeping right now.

If I sleep on my sides my hips hurt. If I sleep on my back my rib cage hurts (wtf, idk). If I sleep on my stomach (that I highly prefer and tend to sleep this way) my shoulders and arms hurt.
So I can't win. My body fell apart at 25. I'm 32 now. I also walk funny because I get sciatic pain (and this baby thing is NOT helping).
Maybe someday (soon, before we are all using walkers) we can all meet up at a hotel, with a pool and hot tub and sit around bitching and drinking and talking about those damn kids (like people under 30) that can walk upright looking comfortable.
Sometimes when I wake up my left arm is so jacked up I can't control it. And since Clare is usually in bed with me wanting to nurse, I often almost punch my baby. Ahhhhhh. Gettin' old.
I was forced by my chiropractor to sleep holding a pillow/rolled up blanket so I couldn't scrunch my arms and wrists. It took adjusting, but has been helpful.
I do this. If I don't and sleep on my arms I wake up with them numb (I'm 27 and this has been going on since 20 or so).
After having DS I started having to sleep with a pillow between my legs. Otherwise my hips would ache in the morning. I don't know if it was related to the pregnancy or just getting older. Also once I hit 30 allergies popped up and all my joints started cracking.
