QOTW: Do you own a scale? If so, how often do you weigh yourself?
Sure, you keep rubbing this in my face every so often ...
I am down almost 9 kg and and 2 kg away from where I was when I said I needed to lose 20 kg
Seriously though, something happened between the end of March and the middle of June that caused me to gain almost 10 kg. I should have gone in for Thyroid and diabetes testing. If I stop losing weight I will go in for testing.
This weekend doesn't count since I have a planned cheat at the big Italian Festival.
Yes I own a scale. a nasty evil Tanita fat measuring scale. I use it once a week (on Mondays at 5:30 PM.)
ETA: Because of the evil scale, I can sort of accurately report that all but 1 of those kg lost were fat.
Well I've lost 2kgs but that only puts me back at wanting to lose 20... I'm having a bit of a hard time losing any weight despite seriously watching my calorie intake (on MFP) and having cut out alcohol during the week :-(
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong of if it's the dreaded 35 coming up that has somehow slowed my body right down
Anyway, on the plus side, I did 42 lengths at the pool today and felt really energised/strong after that (feeling sleepy now I had lunch though)
QOTD: I do. I try to do it once a week but usually end up on it every day.

Valerie - yes, after 35 it is a LOT harder to lose weight. At 43, I'm struggling to lose and keep off weight. I have to do some serious exercise regularly for it...and as I gave up that & eating quite so heathily while doing IVF, I gained weight. That sucks!
I've been doing the couch to 5k program and zumba on xbox. I'm trying to exercise at least 5-6 days a week now (does 2 hours of dancing at a club on Saturday night count?). I want to head into my mid-40s weighing 15-20 lbs less, but most of all, I want to be really, really, really FIT. So I will be running, playing hockey, sprinting, etc all in the goal of becoming the fittest I've been in my 40s. I want to rock my body with some serious muscles and be a mid-40s babe!
QOTD: yup, but I keep forgetting to use it. I want to get on the once a week weighing thing.
I'm sitting here reading this while eating a pain au chocolat!!!
Still cycling to work nearly everyday and going to my reformer pilates class. But not getting enough walking in at the moment. Need to up that and cut out the crap food...
QOTW: Yes, and I weigh myself roughly every week, though it could be two weeks...
We had a really sporty weekend getaway with riverboarding, ziplining, hiking, and archery. I was pretty well sore all over at the end of it, but the good kind of sore. Yesterday I did the P90x jump training video as well. I think I need to find more fun activities to do as exercise instead of the at home videos.
QOTD: Our scale doesn't work. When it did work, I weighed myself almost daily, sometimes twice daily and took the average weight between morning and night.

I seem to be in a bad cycle of 1 good week of working out, followed by 2 bad weeks. It's like the motivation escapes me. I watched a really interesting show on the obesity epidemic throughout the world last night so hopefully that'll light a fire under my bum!
QOTW: I actually don't own a scale, because I'm too cheap to buy one. When I had one I only weighed myself once per week, as I don't think the daily ups and downs mean anything significant.

Ugh...I fell off the wagon, hard. Gained around 5kgs...now working to get that off and get back to the weight I was when I decided to become a fatty. Need to lose around 20-25 pounds to get to my goal weight, but it seems so hard!
I'm back to running 3 times a week, and I've been incorporating strength training in on my non-run days, but it sucks sometimes. I feel like I'm always hungry and I eat plenty of lean proteins to keep me full!
QOTD: Yes, and I weight daily. I only count the weight though on Mondays...the rest are just sort of seeing where I fall.

Is it possible to be added onto this list? I would like to join the Fitness Challenge and it probably started way back before I joined the board.
I would like to lose 10 lbs, possibly a bit more if I manage that. I have lost about 6 lbs already since December. I am also trying to be a lot more physically active. So far, this summer I have been good about that, but I would like to do more.
I'm doing an intense work out regimen right now to fit into my dress for my BIL's wedding tomorrow (one month of vacation on the road = lots of fast food and junk = 10 lbs gained... after having purchased my dress!!). Did I lose the weight in time?... I'll find out tomorrow when I try to put on my dress ;D
But my long term plan is just to get back into shape, possibly run a 1/2 marathon in the near future (I ran a full one back in 2006, but don't want to put myself through that again. Half seems reasonable).
All good with my goal, who's actually almost attained. I continue to work out 5-6 per week and the weights I'm lifting keep getting heavier Anyways, hubby is elated I'm sticking to the plan LOL
QOTD: no scale for us, I really don't care how much I weigh.
