As far as you wanting to hit something? You should. I can't imagine what you're feeling, but you're allowed to feel it all and get it out any way you need to.
I am so, so sorry for what you and your H are going through.
I used to work with a doctor who would put his patients with intractable nausea and vomiting on ABHR drips--Ativan, Benadryl, Haldol, and Reglan. A transdermal form, ABHR gel is also available--you spread it on the inside of the wrist and the medicine is absorbed through the skin, and I think it also comes in suppositories. I don't know what other meds your H has tried but I thought that would be worth mentioning since it's not one I hear used a lot.
