When DD was less than a year I was probably in the single digits. This is a vast improvement for me. It will be interesting to see how I am with DD2 as an infant.
See but I don't think BLW people are breezy. Maybe they aren't as worried about choking, but they usually read stuff and actually think about how to feed their kids rather than just doing it the way the majority of people do it.
From the replies on this board, I would say BLW means breezy. Those who do BLW are less likely to be concerned about exactly how much, what to serve next, etc.
@this I thought the vax question was funny, although not sure i would consider megan heimer breezy.
Cutting fruit, shredding chicken, cooking it so it's soft is more work than squeezing. Come on, now.
Yeah, but I don't do that shit. I just give baby some of whatever won't kill her from what we already had. Is that like super-breezy BLW? I didn't expect her to eat any (because her brother just didn't for a year), so I didn't do anything for her.
I'm either a 59 or 70, depending on the BLW answer (which I did, but not 100%). I needed an intermediary option between the third and fourth answers most of the time.
Like the playground answer. DS isn't old enough for monkey bars so I chose the "I keep a close eye" answer. But just this morning I left him in his room (at the top of 3 flights of stairs) with the door open while I went downstairs and into the garage to look for more diapers. I came back and he was sitting at the top of the steps, reading his book. I don't think he peed anywhere in that time period (not that I saw, but it could have been in the other room), so that's a win.
Should I have chosen yes for the monkey bar answer since it's somewhat representative, even if not literally true?
Did I mention I like to analyze? I seriously argued for days at multiple meetings about our contract because I didn't like the use of the word "transaction" even though I still haven't come up with a better word besides "agreement," which I don't love.
I wanted another option on the toy question. If I went with the wooden toy option my score is only 39. We have tons of plastic toys in addition to some wooden so I went with the other choice.
I don't worry about shopping cart germs ( my kid doesn't put much in his mouth) or him falling down while playing. I'm pretty rigid about his bedtime routine because he's a crappy sleeper and when we mess with it he just doesn't sleep. I feel like some of these things are kid dependent though.
I snuck in when J was napping. I didn't get to respond yesterday but I thought I was a 5, strict on some things lax on others... Apparently I'm a 34 ? unbreeziest of unbreezy. Eek.
I always go with the answer that represents what the quiz was getting at. I'm at work. There are no monkey bars. I picked "ignoring child on monkey bars" because that's more like me.
I have no inner dialogue second guessing me. It's great.
FWIW, I did BLW, but that didn't stop me from cutting DS1's grapes until he was 6. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
I don't think I am as breezy as my score indicates, as evidenced by the aforementioned grape cutting and what all my friends seem to think are very non-breezy car seat rules. But we are pretty bedtime, schmedtime, so there is that.
I also feel like having older kids is impacting my score. My food and screen time answers would have been different when DS1 was a toddler.
