No, I'm not so nutty that I'm going to pay $500 for a haircut (yes, that is what he charges.)
A local salon has Nick Arrojo come in once a month to give haircuts. I won a facebook contest for a free consultation with him (I'm sure so he can tell me I need a $500 haircut and who knows what else).
I'm not really expecting to get any great advice during the consult, and honestly I was rarely wowed by the work he did on WNTW, but I'm still excited to get to meet someone who was on tv (even if he's like, what a C list celeb? D list? lol)
Oh I love him. I think he's talented, remember a lot of those women were stubborn in keeping their length, etc. of their "before" hair, so he didn't have free range in the makeover cuts/colors/what have you.
Those people always piss me off. WTF, you go on a tv makeover show, and are scared to get a haircut? I think that should disqualify a person.
Maybe I'll actually get some useful info from him. He is only doing consultations that day and not haircuts, so I am wondering if he is basically giving advice as to what someone else at the salon should do. If that's the case, I'd be up for doing whatever he recommends.
my friend was on What not to wear and Nick cut her hair. She liked the cut ok but i remember her calling me and crying that he dyed it dark. she eventually convinced him to lighten it back up.

Celebirty stylists are fun regardless. My salon owner doesn't keep a full book to watch what her stylists are doing and consult with them as well as making sure to compliment stylist's good work. She gets flown out and back a lot by different celebrities pretty regularly and her salon styles Maxim parties and other celeb heavy events in the area. They book 30 minutes for color/cut consults and 20 for cuts into appointments. It should be fun regardless to see what he says and get product recs if you can since he does know a lot. I think this may be a lot more than you think. If he suggests the WNTW cut and going darker I think you'll probably be glad he's not picking up scissors. Have fun and be open. Give us details too.

That's cool GoDawgs!
I liked Nick in the beginning of WNTW but toward the end he was all about the "make you look special" and cut a bob for EVERY PERSON. Not that I have anything against a classic bob, but I feel like Ted really listens to people and cuts hair that is so flattering and unique to that person. Plus, Nick's color sucked...he never did anything dramatic. Nick was beginning to be a one bob wonder.
