with regards to TV, I remember all the TV I watched growing up and I don't have focus issues and actually don't watch much now. And those shows had zero learning qualities (Rugrats, Doug, Rockos Modern Life, etc). I absolutely cringe when I see snippits of those shows nowadays.
Haha. Loved those shows growing up. When I read articles about some of the creepy or crazy aspects and story lines they had I cringe as well. But when we are young, so much of it just goes over our heads so we are unscathed. Children's tv has gotten a serious makeover since then.

We had a parents meeting at preschool this morning so we took A to class, then meeting, and we took C out to breakfast. It felt nice but also weird to be out without her. But C had half a pancake and was super happy the whole time. It was sweet!
FI and I are applying for a rental today that's perfect for us and our needs now. It's inexpensive enough that we can continue to save for a DP on a new home and live comfortably. We are both ready to move out of homes with our families and start our lives. If you have any spare vibes, please send them this way. This is an older home that needs some TLC but I love a project and the homeowner has agreed to help with costs. What a year it has been!
Lincoln will not stop picking Calvin up. He wants him to play with certain toys, so he moves him to them. He's been in time out 3 times this morning already for it.

My sister wasn't supposed to pick me up by herself (she's just barely 3 years older than me). My mom said the last time she ever left me to nap in my crib (rather than keeping me in a carrier) my sister was holding me through the crib slats, and promptly dropped me when she saw my mom come through the door. It will at least make for good stories when he's older, and embarrassment when they're in their awkward teenage years and want nothing to do with each other

Sounds like Peyton is working on day 3 of no nap. She just lays in bed, happy as clam, talking and playing. The last 2 days she talks and plays for an hour and then demands I come get her and that she is all done. Haha. I mean I guess it's better than a screaming fest nap refusal, but I am not a fan either way. Especially since she keeps crashing around 4 or 5pm. I'm sure most of you saw my video and pictures from yesterday when I was failing at waking her up.
She is currently chanting "no sleep, no sleep, no sleeeep" in a happy sing-songy voice. Haha.

I turned around for a second and he was carrying him across the living room. So stressful!!

I'm selling my wedding band from my first marriage this afternoon. I found it while cleaning a few weeks ago, and can't believe I still have it. I thought I threw it out a window in Germany when he left me. Oh well, extra cash.

H's uniforms arrived. She is a big fan of the knee socks which she was wearing with her bathing suit earlier. Her hair was in pig tails and she was giving me sass. I turned my daughter into Britney Spears.

My sister had her first ultrasound today. She thought she was, like, 8 weeks along... but she is measuring 10. The due date is two days after my nephew turns 2. I am soooo excited that she is pregnant.

At A's new school, they address their teacher by first name..... Not miss (first name), just first name. I do not like that. I much prefer miss. Suzanne, to just Suzanne. Seems odd to me.

That is weird. I always grew up with Miss Last name. Then I moved to the south and now I hear a lot if Miss First name and thought that was weird enough. To just drop to first name only is just strange. I wonder what their reasoning is?

I have no idea, and I'm not a fan at all. We have orientation next week and I wonder if they will elaborate.

Carter's daycare/preschool does the same thing, which is weird because they're super strict about everything else and they're a prep-school feeder.
C started in a new program last week but I love love love his old program. I wasn't yet willing to commit to axing the old program so I decided to give the new place a two week trial run. His old program doesn't start for nearly another month so I had time to decide. Every time I think about dropping the old program I want to cry, lol. Anyways, a mom from the old program asked if Colin was coming back and I said I wasn't sure and explained the situation and she went and blabbed to the director of the old program who then sent me a fucking passive aggressive email. This is the same mom who I offered a free session for her daughter and then she added in three cousins to the shoot. She lies constantly to me and I catch her in the lies (stupid lies like "have you been to the coop in town? they have great fresh fruits and veggies and FREE bananas!" and she claims she goes there all the time and I go and there are NO VEGGIES OR FRUIT and never have been). ITS WEIRD.
I'm so pissed off because I legit haven't decided one way or another (well, now I have thanks to the passive aggressive email) and I'm just sad. I want to tell this girl off. She is the biggest bullshitter and I need to contain myself from being a bitch to her.
We are reading tiny excerpts from Alice in Wonderland for school, so the girls are watching Alice in Wonderland right now. They even put PJs on so they could be comfy. And all the children are being quiet for once!
