Apparently we watch too much Peppa Pig here - A just came and asked for his boots (he doesn't possess any) as he wants to jump in muddy puddles. Fortunately I persuaded him that crocs do the job as well as boots do.
Emmy asks to jump in muddy puddles every day. I just bought her rain boots today because it was embarrassing having my toddler wear her winter boots out to jump in them

We've been on eastern time zone a lot of the summer and now that we are back on central M has been going to bed at a normal time. Aka, before 10 o'clock! It's been great to have her on a better schedule.
kdrake8 hugs! Yes, you are lucky but it doesn't make leaving them any easier. You know the kids will be fine! (PS... whatever happened with the IL situation? are they still the DCP?) Just keep focused on seeing those smiling faces when you get home!
They are 2 days a week and then we have a very close family friend who is a former Montessori teacher who is watching them the other three. The kids adore her. S and I taught her sons and she and her husband are kind of like our mentors. They're awesome.
Sounds like a great solution! I'm happy that you found someone you trust and love.
A is upstairs reading a book of poems, lol. I love my bookworm 5 year old

It's lovely. DS1 sneaks and reads books after it's "lights out". I hope all of my kiddos are like this.
Same here, sometimes he sneaks over to his night light and continues after lights out. It such a wonderful passion to have, the true love of reading. Let's hope our little ones are the same way

It's been crazy thunderstorms here all afternoon. I know that bedtime will be disrupted about 75 times lol. I put C down in his crib, but I'm sitting in his room still because he will be up from loud thunder and my scared barking dogs.
Yep, while typing, woke up. Sigh. So scary outside!
I am being the ultimate AW because its on facebook and instagram also, lol. I wanted it small for my sig so it wasn't obnoxious, but OH MY GOSH LOOK AT MY CHILDREN!!!!! (heart) (heart) (heart)

lolaburns, thank you! I keep saying I'm going to post more and be around more and ugh...life gets in the way so I'll just randomly start poppin' in threads and such.
Yoda's trying to walk now. o.O I'm like, dude, didn't I just give birth to you??
Walk?!!?!? You totally did just give birth to him! What a little sweet lil' stinker...that means he is going to be running around soon. I can;t believe it. Time goes by too fast. =( foxxy
Anyone want a kid or two? Solo bedtime is painful - this is night two of three. James has become a pain at bedtime - he goes down fine, happily asleep and then wakes up screaming 30-60 minutes later. About when I'm in the middle of getting A to bed. I've tried feeding more leading up to bed, putting him down drowsy but not asleep and varying the time an re same thing keeps happening.
