Ugh I really dislike this tapatalk interface. I like the proboards app better.
In case you didn't read the whole thread, Patrick said they are still supporting the proboards app and there is no need to switch if we don't want to. I'm sticking with the PB app. I hate change.

Glad to see that the proboards app will still be supported. Hopefully updates as needed! This was the most expensive I have bought!
I *think* they won't be updating it anymore. I think Ellie or Patrick said somewhere in the thread.
If it is never being updated, how can they say they are still supporting the app? The app has things that need fixed, and clearly over time it may need to adapt.
So then it is true that we wasted our money, $3 in my case.
If the pb app works for you and you're happy with it you don't have to switch now. But it might break later if there are changes. If it already doesn't work right you might try tapatalk now. I switched a while ago because the pb app never worked for pics or messages for me. Tapatalk is ugly but it works.
We plan to continue to support the ProBoards app, I don't anticipate any changes that would break that.
No one "has to" download this new app. We've actually supported both since around January. There is no need to download Tapatalk if you are happy with the ProBoards app.
I want you to know that I love ProBoards so much sometimes I click on the external ads on purpose because in mind I think it might help you.

Supporting the app means a few things for us:
1) We provide tech support for the app users (if you have an issue, just head over to support.proboards.com and our team will help you) 2) We make sure that the app works with our forums (the app continues to work for iOS 7 and below as well as Android devices). I will note that we plan to test with iOS 8 soon to see how the app performs. If it needs an update, we will try to work with Tapatalk to have them update our app (but this can not be guaranteed). 3) We still put in bug fixes (server side) to the app if things are fixable. I know of multiple bug fixes that are going out within the next 2 weeks related to the app that do not require you to download an update.
