So can we talk about Missy? Who do we think she is? The prevalent theories seem to be the Master or the TARDIS. I heard another one but can't remember what it was.
I lean toward thinking she's the TARDIS since she called him "her boyfriend." Also, I totally noticed that the garden was the SAME GARDEN that Amy was in (The Girl Who Waited, when she's in the time-loop hospital where she grows old). So there's that to consider as well.

If she's anybody, I'd go with the Master vs the TARDIS. She seems evil.
I don't read too much into the set, because they have resued so many sets/items. The stairway the TARDIS crashes into in Angels take Manhattan was used in the alternate universe for 10/Rose, the chair Clara used in Asylum of the Daleks was used in the Doctor's Daughter, and the Library from Silence in the Library was used in one of the first Sherlock episodes.
But watch this be the one time it means something!

I've mentioned it before, but the moment Clara closed the TARDIS doors with a snap of her fingers I was done with her. Not allowed. You are nowhere near special enough for that. Newp. Rose looked into the heart of the Tardis and she couldn't even do that. And I don't even really like Rose! So no, Clara, you are not allowed.
I like the actress just fine, I blame Clara on the writers. I'm more than ready for her to go.
I like Capa-whatever his last name. He's kind of an asshole, but I'd be pissy if they tried to do another 10 or 11 because I don't think they can be replicated.

Yes. And the baddies in this episode, they reminded me of the clock baddies from The Girl in the Fireplace. Didn't he say something like the SS Pompadour in this episode? I thought he was referring to that episode and letting us know that these are the same baddies, but then heaven was Amy's paradise garden and I thought maybe they were a different version of the Handbots from Girl Who Waited.

Yeah, there were definitely deliberate references to the clockwork men in The Girl in the Fireplace. I thought that was hammered home fairly obviously, even before he directly mentioned the SS Pompadour. But I'm not sure if that's a clue to Missy and where this is all heading, or just an incidental "We've been here before" nod.

Maybe they're all connected?
Yes, related repair bots also gone askew. There was one point where he was confronting the head bot in the restaurant as it was preparing the get away and there was a fuse with SS Marie Antoinette on it, so definitely related, like a sister ship to the SS Pompadour.

The phone call was a bit of pandering, but I can see it within the context of Clara not "knowing" the Doctor anymore. I am not a Clara hater, I think she is a poorly executed character--she could have been so, so much better. I think she will do better with this Doctor.
I like Capaldi, he's a good mix of the snarkiness of the newer Doctors and the casual indifference of the earlier Doctors.

Are you guys familiar with Valeyard? Since this is, presumably, the last Doctor and he is righting past mistakes it would make sense that they would bring Valeyard back. If they do, it will be not only awesome but dark.

They would be going down an old road, but it would be an interesting way to have Clara depart and end a season.
This is the last Doctor? I thought he was given a whole new set of regenerations, so we would hypothetically have 11 (or would it be 12?) regenerations. But I haven't heard of Valeyard. I should look it up.
I have to catch up with all 5 episodes, mbut I watched the first one and I knew I'd like capaldi from his first interview. I like clara just fine...but I'm a major doctordonna fan, I'm ready for him to have a new companion, I think Clara did well.
Did he kill that robot? Did he push him or did he jump?

They never really said if he was pushed or if he jumped. It was implied that he was pushed.
Ok, I just finished watching it the frist time (thanks to BBC.co.uk and Hola plugin) and I need to watch it again when I don't have B in my lap. Then I'll have input.
The doctor going on about seeing his face before and what is he tryign to tell himeself, reference to the robots as being roman, the Madame de Pompoudour reference, the similarity to the robots from The Girl Who Waited..... Something is going down!
This is my second watching, I'm picking up on other stuff.
I am not at the part where Jenny is "modeling". LOVE IT.
ETA: I'm going to keep editing this post rather than posting new ones.
Is that the doctor in disguise carrying her after she passes out?!?
I love that Clara finds her backbone!
ETA: Rubbish robots from the dawn of time!
ETA: He's so serious. I miss the fun. He tries to make jokes like 11, but I don't think he can quite pull them off.
"I don't expect to reach the promised land" Heart. Broken.
I vote pushed.
I love that Vastra was inviting her to join the household. Someone has the hots for Clara!
I like Capaldi, but I never liked Doctor-companion romances, so I haven't weighed in on this before now.
But something just reminded me of my strongest opinion from the first episode: I do not like the new title credits. They're too steampunky. I like steampunk, but I don't feel like it fits Doctor Who. No. I do not like them, Sam I Am.
