hugs rbp and tons of commiseration. h and i struggled so much in the beginning with (lack of) sleep and his work schedule. vent here all you want, it's better than being frustrated with your husband
Ugh my husband's sister was arrested AGAIN and his mom is making more excuses. The story is some domestic dispute with her druggie boyfriend, of course as always unclear. Both are in jail. DH is begging his mother to go to al-anon. I think he is taking personal time from work to drive 4 hours to his hometown tomorrow and do what he can to help his mom.
Oh man, was her sobriety short-lived? Ugh, what a crummy mess.

I only get to see my BFF a couple times a year since she moved out of state 3 years ago.
She got married this weekend and it was so much fun. The most amazing wedding I've been too. Both DH and I were in the wedding party. I stopped by her parents house this afternoon and said goodbye for she left to go back to her state. I've just been bumming all night. I already miss her and just wished we lived closer together.
Our husband's are great friends. They have a little boy a year younger then DS2. It would be so cool to live closer at this stage in our life.
I've been on a conf call for work. I really need to be on the call, and it's amazingly less aggravating than my usual job. But the fallout from this is going to be massive and totally a PITA to deal with. I'm so done here and this gives me a good excuse to leave anyway.
My MediumCo pre-screen went pretty well! They have one opening they seem to reeeeally want me to interview for. It's an okay fit, but I'm not looking for a perfect fit since I'd like to show I can do something else. Still, I'm not sure what I think about this D:
I visited a friend at work last week (quick drop in) and she told me her coworker asked who I was because I was hot. I'm gonna keep that one in the ol' mental bank for when I'm feeling gross. Like today for instance, when DS shit up my arm.
C has started saying "okay" instead of "yes" and it's the cutest thing. He also says "thank you mama" and "here you go mama" and it's adorable. We can have actual conversations about his day at school now. I love this age even though it can be incredibly frustrating too.
Nod says "ooookay" too. She will ask for something like a cookie then say "ooookay". It's really cute and hard to say no to her when she does it.
Remind me - newborn nursing. I'm making a nipple sandwich for her (smushing and shoving in her mouth), but my nipple ends up looking pointed when she unlatches?
What am I doing wrong?
I would have her checked for tongue tie by an ENT, especially if you are experiencing pain or she is not transferring enough milk.
R giggled tonight! this is the first I've heard it out of him. melted my heart.
I'm doing decorations for a baby shower and I'm having so much fun. I made a rag bunting and now I'm working on some initial stuff. Pinterest has exploded on my kitchen table.
shelbyann - how did her appt go today?? fingers crossed for a good sleep tonight!
It went fine! She's been extra cranky and clingy since same got the shots but no fever and no change in sleep last night, for better or worse. We were up at 12, 2:30 and 4:30. Oh well, maybe she'll STTN after her one year vax? LOL
My mom likes British comedy, so we are watching "The In Betweeners", which is a show about social misfit teenage guys who will never get laid and how there life revolves around trying to get laid. On top of everything else it's incredibly vulgar. THIS IS SO AWKWARD.
I should really start a tumblr that's nothing but reviews of the TV shows she watches and pictures of the stuff she buys at garage sales.
