I eat essentially a zero carb breakfast: scrambled eggs and ground meat. It sets me up to be full until lunch and I feel like my blood sugar is stable.
I agree with everyone else and their food advice. I'll add if you like wine, have a glass on a night that you aren't working out the next day. Limit your intake. You don't NEED a glass of wine every day. At that point it's useless calories. Have one or two reasonable portion glasses/week. I believe in balance.
You've gotten tons of great advice here. Really good.
I just want to reiterate how SUPER DUPER important it is to be hydrated. If you aren't, your workouts will suffer, your energy will drop, and you will start to make bad choices in both eating and exercise. FORCE yourself to drink water. I promise you will start to like it. And don't add any mixers to it...those packets are not good for you.
Also, how much are you sleeping? That's when your body recovers from your workouts. Respect the rest.

Many thanks I'm thinking of making saturday one glass of red wine day. Agreed it's not needed but I think it's a sound compromise.
Eat more, and make sure you get enough protein and fat.
The next time you have blood work, ask to have vitamin d and b12 added if you haven't already checked them. Many people have insufficient vit D levels, and it's an easy fix that usually makes a huge difference.
Kirra, I will be sure to ask for those levels to be run. Maybe I can have my RE add it to my panel when he does a workup come October.
Today I hope is a better day. Had 2 whole eggs this am with some cheese packed an apple instead of grapes, I have plain greek yogurt as well. added chicken to my salad for lunch.
I eat 2 eggs for breakfast daily. With cheese. The whole egg. My breakfast is delicious and full of protein and good fat. On weekends I eat 3 sometimes. No shame.
If I am doing a real low-carb breakfast, I will do 3 eggs and 3 strips of bacon.
I REGRET NOTHING.
You are my people.
autumnfire, when I stopped weeknight drinking, I lost 5 lbs fairly quickly. And I was only having a glass of wine or one beer each night. It made a big difference. Now I drink water instead.
