10 weeks -- We've told family, my mom really wasn't getting it so it made it pretty funny Sometimes movie quotes just fit in to real life too well so those moments can usually make me laugh
1. How far along are you this week? 27+3. 3rd tri this Friday!
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? No Dr appointment this week.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? My grandma was pry my favorite. She's 97 and I always feared if she would ever meet my baby.

1. 19 weeks 2 days 2. My anatomy scan is tomorrow morning!!! We will be finding out the babies genders so I am super excited 3. My sister not believing me when I called to tell her we were having twins. Guess I have a history of being a jerk. And our friends with twins laughing hysterically at us. Because it was exactly how I felt. 4. at 2, DD telling me she was all done with dinner because she was full but she wanted a krispie square. I asked how did she have room for the treat if she didn't have room for her dinner. And she moved her plate and showed me that she now had room for the treat. yes, she got the treat.
1. 26w 2. I busted out laughing reading my Amalah Pregnancy Calendar entry for this week: "Remember those early bubbly butterfly kicks? Yeah. Those have been replaced by something akin to a rabid mongoose flippin’ out inside a burlap sack." So true! 3. Honestly, I dreaded telling people, but it is always fun when someone is super excited for you - had several of those. 4. Hmm, I'm only coming up with "had to be there" kind of stories.

lol, you beat me to posting @astrid. I had a half post started but then stupid work got in the way
1. How far along are you this week? 23 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? This will be my last week on PIO!
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? When we told one of DH's cousins back in May, he cried. He and his wife went through IF and had twins via IVF. I was their nanny for about a year (side note, I can't believe those kids are 10 already!) and they were always so supportive of our journey. We told them in person at SIL's wedding and he hugged us so hard and just couldn't keep the tears in. Love him and his wife. They are awesome.
4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? Way too many
Sorry rachelgreen. I didn't mean to steal your thunder.
hahaha, no thunder stolen at all hun. I swear I go to post in multiple threads but since today is closing for us, day after a long weekend, plus I was out a bit last week because I was sick, I can't get anything done
1. 21w1d 2. I have an appt tomorrow and want to talk to the MFM more about any activity restrictions. My cousin is pregnant with twins and at her 28w appt her cervix was funneling so now I feel like I have to be on high alert. 3. Other than mine when we saw it was twins? We've gotten a pretty good reaction from most people because twins seems to catch people totally off guard. 4. I have a lot but DDs new obsession with the phrase "sit down!" is a favorite laugh for the moment.
1. How far along are you this week? Nearly 34 weeks. 2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? I feel bursts of energy in the morning and then I am exhausted by lunch. 3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? No big reactions. 4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? My daughter through this whole process. Preparing a 5 year old for her sister or brother arrival is entertaining. I love when she starts rattleing off different names she likes. (Currently French Fry, Chubby...etc)
We're a day late because of the holiday, but let's get rolling.
1. How far along are you this week? 2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? 3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? 4. What is a memory that makes you laugh?
1. 38 weeks 2. I'm having a baby this week. I'm starting to feel anxious. I fall asleep at night & then I'm jolted awake. 3. Nothing specific comes to mind at the moment. 4. This still makes me laugh. When I went to register I asked DH if he wanted anything specific. He wasn't interested in registering which was fine with me. He said just one thing. Make sure you register for those rubber pants that go over the diaper to avoid any leaks. I died laughing. He was serious!
1. How far along are you this week? 13 weeks 6 days 2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? I am out of first tri and really feeling it- I feel great! 3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? My mil was surprising - I thought she would be more openly excited than she was 4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? My mom stepping out in the middle of the street during a parade to take a picture, then the "soldiers" ( I was a kid, not sure if they were civil war reenactors or actual veterans) in the parade firing their ceremonial guns at her! [/quote]
28 weeks here. Totally accurate description of the baby movements. She was flipping out this morning for some reason and I felt like I had a crazy squirrel in my belly.
1. 30 weeks 2. We picked up the glider recliner and started setting up the nursery.
Now I just need to find fabric but I'm having a hard time finding something that matches because the rug is so bold. I'm thinking about going with solid colored fabric and having my mom sew a quilt similar to this:
3. My grandpa started crying in front of everyone at Easter when we told him.
4. Most recently on our way back from a work trip (5 hr drive) my co-workers and I stopped for a bathroom break at a Culvers. We got some food to go and the co-worker who was driving said she couldn't eat their fries without ketchup. She made it to the last fry before dropping a huge dollop of ketchup right on her crotch. We both starting laughing while our boss was in the back trying to figure out what was going on. Then suddenly she stopped and said "Fox you need to stop laughing because I'm not pulling over to google how to perform the heimlich maneuver on a pregnant woman." Haha.

1. 28+2
2. Vents: My GTT results still haven't come back. It's been a week already. And some of my family are already complaining about the baby's name. I knew I shouldn't have told them.
But the good news is that our busy August is over and we are in full preparing the nursery mode! So excited!
3. My dad was just really excited. My mom was shocked because I had JUST had a miscarriage the month before and she (and we) weren't expecting to get pregnant so quickly. My friend who also knew about the miscarriage was so supportive and positive and excited when I told her I was pregnant again. It was exactly what I needed to hear.
1. 24 ish weeks. I don't keep track of my days 2. I really ready to have a baby. Can't believe I have to wait 4 more months. I want it now! 3. I wasn't big on telling people for some reason. My coworker picked up on that so he started a countdown. We were at a national meeting so everyone that came up that didn't know yet, my coworker would start up with "1...2...3..." so I was "forced" to spill. (I know he sounds like an asshole, but he's actually one of my faves and a great mentor.) My grown, male boss jumped up and down like a little girl and flapped his arms in excitement which was LOL worthy. 4. Well, this weekend when DH realized that kids don't potty train until 2+ years. He's like "what???"
1. How far along are you this week? 14wk & 2 days. Starting to feel real!
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? Vent: found out I have to have surgery to have a cyst removed sometime before 16 wks. Freaking out a little bit and worried about the possible 6wk recovery time.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? Our parents. My MIL was in complete shock.
4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? Decorating the Christmas tree with DH for the first time. Nothing crazy happened I just remember we laughed a ton and thinking about it always makes me smile.
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? I started feeling him move around a lot this weekend. H even got to feel it, which I was glad he did.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? Everybody's been excited, but I don't think there's been one that really stands out.
4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? Pretty much just thinking of all the stupid stuff my childhood BFF and I would do.

1. How far along are you this week? 15 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? I think I'm finally going to just enjoy this and stop worrying about every little pain and minor spotting episode. Everything has been fine so far, I need to just relax!
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? I'm actually more surprised by the people that still don't know. I saw a friend this weekend and she had no idea! Shows you how many people go on Facebook, lol. It's been fun though!
4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? How do you pick just one? Maybe at our wedding.. H was really bad at pouring the sand, lol. He would dump way too much at once and I was just cracking up to whole time!

1. How far along are you this week? 11w1d
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? The vomiting is back. Ugh.
Also, this month is going to be tough for us. Our due date for the last pg was 9/30. Even though I know it wasn't a viable pg, and that I'm mourning a dream, not the reality, it's still hard to see super-pregnant women and think that that "should" be me, instead of going through 1st tri misery again. It's amazing to have gotten our good news, and that helps immensely. I just expect the next few weeks to be a difficult mix of emotions.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? We haven't told many people yet, and they were all preceded with my anxious "it's early, and we aren't getting our hopes up, but..." so the reactions have been pretty subdued. I am looking forward to telling my grandma. My granddad died a few days after our loss, and I know she'll be thrilled.
4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? Pretty much anything involving my 3-yr-old niece. She just exudes joy. I adore her.
1. How far along are you this week? 34w4d 2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? My ultrasound is tomorrow, to double check the baby's measurements. I am really nervous. 3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? My H's. He was in complete shock (we had been trying for years and were saving for IVF when I got a random BFP).

1. 34 weeks 2. My parents are coming this weekend to watch DS so H and I can go on a mini-overnight babymoon! We're just going to a local hotel, but it's on the beach and we're having a nice brunch and I'm just so excited about it! 3. It was pretty funny when I accidentally told my BIL and SIL over Skype. I wasn't out of first tri yet so we weren't telling people but it accidentally slipped while talking about something else. Their faces when they realized what I'd said were priceless. 4. DH getting stuck in DS's play tunnel while trying to crawl through was pretty hysterical. He was getting so annoyed, wanting me to help him but I was laughing so hard I couldn't stand up.
1. How far along are you this week? 26 weeks today 2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? Operation Nursery is in full effect. I love watching the room come together, and staring into the closet with the itty bitty hangers holding itty bitty clothes. 3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? Just the pure shock when we told our families we were expecting. Everyone was thrilled but it caught them off guard. We have been together for 11 years, and have never talked about wanting babies...Surprise! 4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? Not sure. I'm stumped at the moment.

1. How far along are you this week? 16w 2d
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? People seem to forget I'm a person now that I'm pregnant. All I get is "How are you feeling?". How about "How was your weekend?" or "How's work?". This is not all I am now people.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? The look on my FILs face was priceless. We were showing him and my step MIL the upstairs of our house that we recently had painted, and ended in the spare room that will be the nursery. My husband then said "So what do you think, will this make a good nursery?" The look on his face was just priceless!
1. 19w6d, baby girl is mango sized! 2. Since now I know I have an anterior placenta, I'm more calm about the lack of movement I'm feeling. Sometimes I get sensations that may be the baby, or may not. Either way, I'm much more relaxed. Appt tomorrow morning! 3. One of my friends responded to our facebook announcement (she already knew btw) that our announcement was the least vomit-inducing pregnancy announcement ever. Or my Brother's reaction, which was "Shut up!" 4. Oh gosh I can't think of one. I'll edit later when I come up with something.

1. How far along are you this week? 16 and change! 2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? Bloodwork is back, Nugget does NOT have spina bifida. Hooray! 3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? To know my husband is to know he is super practical at best. His clothes come from the Duluth Trading Company catalog, and he pretty much only wears boots and cargo pants and carries his knife everywhere. One of our groomsmen announced he was claiming dibs on buying Nugget his/her first pocket knife. 4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? After my mom's transplant she had to be very careful about sun. And germs. So she'd go outside wearing a big floppy hat, her sunglasses and a surgical mask. I used to tell her she looked like she was trying to hold up a liquor store :-)
1. 37w4d 2. None this week, I am too miserable. 3. My SIL was quite funny. We were skyping with her and put DS on the screen. He was wearing a T-shirt that said 'Worlds best brother'. DS pointed to his t-shirt and told her to look at his t-shirt. She did. She even read it out loud, and then asked if she was supposed to be understanding something. We had to spell it out for her, lol. This was a type reaction for her. 4. When DS was around 2.5 years old we moved house and one of DH's friends/colleague was helping us move. DS for some unknown reason decided to tell him 'Daddy wears mummy's underwear'. I was crying with laughter. DH had never worn any of my underwear, not even as a joke, but my 2.5 year old decided he did, lol.
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? Yay, made it to the 3rd tri!! Have lots of appointments tomorrow - u/s, ob apt and meeting with a pediatrician. Looking forward to finding how much the babies weigh tomorrow, as the office doesn't start giving weight estimates before 25 weeks and my last u/s was as 24 weeks. I'm also probably getting the tdap tomorrow.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? I've had a lot of shocked reactions when people hear that it is twins.
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? Feeling good. ANNNNDDD anatomy scan tomorrow! So excited/nervous.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? Well, when we told my dad the (anticipated sex) he reacted sooo strangely, and it was a bit disappointing. Then, I later found out he wanted to be surprised at birth. So now I feel kinda bad I ruined his surprise.
4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? Probably the one where DH and I danced around our first apartment naked one day. To Al Green. It makes me laugh/cry when I think about it - so young and in love and silly. Now the most romantic thing we do is, when we think the other is going to come into a room, we pull our pants down and somewhat suggestively flash the other person with a weird grin on our faces. As we like to tell each other "we have problems." I fear for our child.
demandypants, you and I are almost due date buddies!
2. Pregnancy-related AWs/vents/randoms for this week? We were in TX for my brother's wedding for the long weekend and I am sooo swollen from flying and the heat, and my back and ribs are killing me. I drank tons of water and put my feet up when I could, but it didn't help much. All of the other bridesmaids were cute and skinny and I felt like a whale... I just keep telling myself that if this is what has to happen for a healthy baby, then it's well worth it. We're on our way back now, and I can't wait to be home sweet home.
3. What reaction to your pregnancy announcement has been most surprising/your favorite? My grandpa told H "I knew you could do it!" when we told him. He also said it was a "red letter day" when we told him it was a boy. My cousins looked at the ultrasound picture and thought it was a fish, lol.
4. What is a memory that makes you laugh? In college, I lived in a ground floor apt and I ran through a closed screen door after a few drinks. That was funny enough on its own, but then my friend and I found my roommate's and her BF's clothes strewn across the living room toward her (thankfully closed) bedroom door, lol. We weren't supposed to be home until later, and not only did I bust down the screen door to our apartment but we also interrupted their private time. Oops, lol.
Now the most romantic thing we do is, when we think the other is going to come into a room, we pull our pants down and somewhat suggestively flash the other person with a weird grin on our faces. As we like to tell each other "we have problems." I fear for our child.
DH and I do this, except the other day DH didn't realise that DS was in the room. DS thought it was rather funny and decided to copy DH. Yeah, that was fun. Not! Luckily he has not done it again.
