If they are fully nude where does the money go? Do they carry a purse along? I'm serious, I need to know this.
Here in Oz they only have $1 and $2 coins, no small dollar bills. Bills start at $5. I'm thinking the strippers here have got to be making money if it starts at $5.

Maybe they wear these?
These are far more useful than just stripping, LOL!

The money sits on the stage, on the floor right in front of them, in a pile. After their set, someone clears all of the cash for them (like a zamboni, but it's a person!).
All the strippers I've seen in AB pick up their own money after their dance with a magnet on a stick.
lol that 60% of this thread is Americans saying "we have these things toooooooooo". You're the most powerful country on earth, just let us be proud of our clean streets and fully nude strippers, dammit!
And then there's the drinking at 19, poutine, garlic fingers and Gilles Duceppe's blue eyes.

The Cuban food wasn't good in Cuba?! Cuban food is awesome in Florida. We have beaches and rum punch---I many not have to leave...
Yeah, I'm finding it hard to believe the did wasn't good on Cuba. Did you stay at a hotel/resort catering to foreigners and only eat there or something, bluetopaz ?
I've never been to Cuba, I was replying to the poster ahead of me who said they had been and the food was awful. I live in Florida; the Cuban food we have here is amazing. I really can't believe food in Cuba is bad.
Summary of Cuba: gorgeous landscape, Havana is fascinating, rum is delicious, people are sad and yes, bluetopaz is correct, the food is terrible (I cannot emphasize this enough). They just don't have access to the same ingredients and spices they do in the US.
Yep, I will agree with this.
We were also there during a drought, and the cows in the fields were skin and bones. So clearly we were served a lot of pork. They are definitely limited as far as acess ton ingredients, and I recall hearing families with small children were rationed only x cups of milk a week, etc until a certain age then cut off.

I will also add, there aren't a ton of options beyond AI resorts, so while I am sure food in individual homes manages to have more flavour, I don't think a lot of tourists book a hotel room for the week and visit local restaurants and shops. Even when we went into a city (the capital of the province we visited), it wasn't like other countries we have visited since it obviously isn't as commerce-based as many other places we have visited.

I'm sorry; I knew that/read it correctly. I just tagged the wrong person. Sorry about that!
we did not go to Cuba, or to any strip clubs, so I don't know about any of that other than what booby told me. That said, this is a really great place. The weather is really nice too, except for yesterday when we got rained on briefly. Parking is expensive! omg.
I think your son made an amazing choice. I'm American and went to university in Canada. I am very glad I did!
another thing is how deep green the vegetation is. I come from the Great Plains; the vegetation is NOT very thick and the leaves are pretty pale on most trees. here, there are a lot of woods, and they look very dense, impenetrable even, and the leaves are very dark green.
OMG I don't find that at all in the gta, lol. But did you get towards Niagara?? It's a bit greener that way. Where I live (southwest of Toronto) it's very green right now. The crops look great.
