I joined TK somewhere between March and June 2007, after I got engaged. I never changed names, I lurked and posted a little on TIP even before marriage. I enjoyed giving advice, then stayed because I liked the company, even though I've never been a very regular poster.
I guess I'll use this as an intro. I was on TK in 2003, TN and TB when they started up (whenever that was). Very on and off, not consistently though.
I decided to come back to TN a few days ago because my life is a little messed up and I could use a distraction. I returned to see a gaping black hole and a link to these boards. Feels about right.
A little more about me: Married almost 8 years, with H almost 11. Two young children who are a perfect mix of awesomesauce and painintheasssauce, one of whom has sensory seeking issues and doesn't sleep for crap. Stress (and genetics we think) recently caused an old brain injury to push H into severe bi-polar with a side of auditory hallucinations and sleep disorder, which has put a damper on the whole picket-fence thing we were going for. We have an enormous team of medical professionals trying to figure out his brain, and until they do our new neighborhood is called Unpredictable Hell. I am also an IT professional. I like buttons to do what I tell them to do. Brains do not work this way.
Eventually I will get around to customizing my profile with something other than the 6 choices the board gave me. And maybe a sig.

I joined TK in 2004 or 2005 but just for the wedding stuff. I realized there were message boards in 2007 and started posting pretty much right away. So..five years, wow.
I joined TK in 2001 when I got engaged. Started over on TN after I married/when it started (don't remember the exact timing of this). I still checked out TK for a long time (even though it became less and less over time), but it was actually their switch to the new format (which I feel like was a LONG time ago) that made me stop going there completely.
I 'originally' joined when a college friend was getting married--so pre-2000. But I don't know that there were message boards then--if there were, I didn't play on them.
I'e been 'active' on them for 10?ish years now--because I was a very very bored CSR a few jobs ago :-) (My original home board was L&L. Yes, I still am in contact w/ L&Lers. If you look blankly at discussion of L&L, it was part of the 'married boards' before tehre was a nest. Then they 'hid' the board. Then they deleted it.)
