Well I heard a rumor that the world was ending tomorrow and that it was Obamas fault. So yeah, I am sure there will be earthquakes on the day the world ends. Anyone else singing Dave right now? Just me? Ok cool....

It is super warm (I'm in the South Bay) but it usually gets blazing hot for a few weeks in Sept. before we settle into cooler weather. ETA I can remember some Halloweens that have been super warm too. No matter how much I will boots and scarf weather to descend upon us.

I've never heard of earthquake weather. I'm kind of fascinated by earthquakes since my area (Ontario) rarely has them, and when they do, they are pretty mild.

Meh, it is hot out here in the east bay burbs, but we aren't breaking any records. It is supposed to be high 80s low 90s for a while. At least the homes out here have AC? My sister always says overcast and hot is earthquake weather.
I've been saying this all week but then when I check the records, it's totally normal to be an inferno in September in So Cal.
When the temps drastically change, that's when you need to worry.
Technically this is a drastic change based on the evening temps this past week. It does NOT stay this hot in the evening. We do get Indian summers and the daytime temps actually peak around 4pm a lot of days (today it was in the low 80's around noon and hit 96 at 4pm)...but to still be at 90 once the sun is down is not normal.

My point was that it's 90 degrees at 7:30PM - not normal. 90 degrees during the day? Somewhat normal!

Gotcha. It is hot for it being past sundown. The mornings have been very cool though, which is a good sign. I will keep my fingers crossed that there won't be a big one soon
was the Napa quake along the San Andreas? If yes, I'll calm down a bit. If no, I'm legit going to freak out.
Ummm, sure, yup, it was..... You took all heavy things off the walls. Right? No large glass items hanging over anyone's heads? Ok, good, just checking
Oh shit.
All if my furniture is positioned so it can't fall on us when we are sleeping and I recently put child locks on our upper cabinets so crap doesn't fall on our heads if we're in the kitchen. The house we are in was built in the 70's, so it clearly survived the big quake...fingers crossed the foundation can stay strong through another.
A couple of my friends legit bought earthquake insurance after the napa shake. I may do so as well.
