What are you training for? Date?
Leavenworth Oktoberfest 1/2 - October 4
Mud & Chocolate Trail Half - November 9
Training plan for the week?
Tuesday - 7 mile run, 5 miles @ tempo
Wednesday - 3 miles
Thursday - 6 miles with speedwork
Friday - 3 miles or bootcamp
Saturday - 10 miles, mid 4 at race pace
Any issues or vents to discuss?
My plantar fasciitis has been acting up. And the darker mornings coupled with kids' sports/music/homework after work are making it difficult to get my runs in.
Highlights or AW's from the past week?
On Sunday we biked with the kids (5 and 8) to the pool at our gym. Swam a bunch, went to the farmer's market, then biked home. Our own little biathlon
Su: Color Run 5k - actually ran this except for coloring stations. Mo: Rest Tue: 3 mile run and mow the back yard Wed: 3 mile run Thurs: Walk Fri: Rest Sat: 10 mile run
AW: I was fully prepared to walk the Color Run due to the crowds. Instead I ran with friends that are faster than me and I kept up the entire time.
Vent: With work and family, I have not been able to train like I should have for this half. I KNOW I will be slower than my first half marathon last year. I am hoping that my 10 miler on Saturday shows me I can do this. I seem to vent about the same thing every week!
What are you training for? Date? Chicago marathon, Kiawah half marathon
Training plan for the week? M: strength T: 7 mile tempo run - 5 miles at 1:00 faster than gmp W: 6 miles Th: rest F: 3 mile hill workout S: 20 miles. Last one!!
Any issues or vents to discuss? I'm still feeling a bit off. My run today felt harder than it should have been. I'm blaming it on my legs still being tired from last weekend's long run.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I'm pretty pumped that my last 6 miles were right around gmp. Makes me feel like I may be able to pull off my super secret time goal.
