Vintage tv dinners. Like bento boxes for dinner. It allows Pinterest moms to get twee at EVERY meal, not just for lunches.
I'm kind of terrified you might be right. Crate&Barrel will start selling ceramic TV dinner trays, West Elm will bring back the racks of four folding TV tables, and there will be Instagram feeds dedicated to carefully separated plates of food.
monogramming. Everything will be monogrammed ala 1985. I realize its already getting big down south but no one monograms shit up here in the north east.

I came across a blog on Pinterest where the girl monogrammed everything. I love a good monogram, but she had a post about what was in her (monogrammed) beach bag. Sandals, camelbak, hat, beach towel, multiple swimsuit tops, sunglasses, all monogrammed. Overkill.

Monogramming has never gone out of style down south. Monograms are everywhere here.

Women's alcohol consumption will rise by 55% because Pinterest has made everyone think they are the only woman in the world who does not serve dinner on handcrafted, hand painted DIY dinnerware.

Weaving. People have knit and crocheted themselves to death. Next up is home looms. First, you make your loom with "repurposed" scrap wood from your leftover DIY mirror projects. Then you weave small wall tapestries, proceeding with greater and greater skill into throw rugs and, eventually, softer knits for ponchos. Because with weaving, ponchos will come back into vogue.
First you see pins that posit the question, "Does coconut oil live up to the hype?" Pins titled "the hidden dangers of coconut oil!?!??!!" begin to crop up from blogs citing studies that show most commercial coconut oils have high levels of dangerous chemicals and pesticides, plus the process of turning coconuts into oil causes chemical transformation that results in atoms highly resembling those of a couple of particularly virulent banned substances.
From there, we move into pins including Grow Your Own Organic, 100% GMO-free Coconuts and How to Make Coconut Oil from Your Homegrown Coconuts. California's state legislature commissions a study and votes on whether or not to ban coconut oil.
