I don't have any motivation tips, but I'm in the same place you are (minus the working out, just the feeling blah part), so thank you for starting this thread. Hopefully there will be some good tips!
Are you lifting weights with your trainer? Cardio is not going to rid you of extra fat. Weight training keeps your muscles burning and will help melt that off, so to speak. Have you mentioned your concerns to your trainer? It's worth discussing with him/her as they may have suggestions for your nutrition or routine to help you reach your goals.
Keep in mind that you are getting so much stronger and healthier each day! I know you want to look good too, but that will come. Be proud of what you've accomplished and keep working toward your goals.
I'm pretty sure that most of superfit people don't eat carbohydrates. Ever.
You get plenty of carbs from various vegetables, so yes, they do. But it's probably accurate to say that most people who put that much emphasis on their bodies avoid gluten and some avoid grains as well.
Awesome job so far on your fitness journey! Losing 2% body fat in that amount time is amazing!
I am saying this to help, and it helps me when I'm feeling discouraged ... It took me YEARS to put on the weight. Why would I think I could take it off in an instant? Shows like The Biggest Loser or whatever just aren't real life.
Also, it's totally normal to see a shift in the way your body is made up before you see it on the scale. Plateaus are also normal. Honestly I would keep on keepin' on! You're doing great!

I'm totally there with you. I've been really good about working out since the beginning of July - and also doing mostly well with my diet.
I've lost 12 pounds but just feel.......blah. Like I don't notice a difference with my clothes or anything like that. I know I'm getting stronger but I want it to SHOW, dammit!
One of my biggest tips that works really well for myself is to make a huge pot of veggie soup over the weekend - it lasts me all week (lunches and a few dinners) and is crammed full of healthy food but is also filling and tastes way better than a salad. This eliminates the temptation of eating out and also allows me to not feel guilty if I have a second bowl since it's so healthy. I don't even had rice/pasta and don't miss it one bit. I know not everyone is a fan of soup so this might not be a good option for you, though.

I was crossing my fingers no one would say that!!!!!!!

Haha! I eat low carb. I aim for 80-100 grams a day, as recommended by my RD friend. Lots of protein. The fat will melt off .
Also, you have to be careful because certain fruits and veggies have a much higher carb content than others. You can google a list.
I still eat bread and pasta every once in a blue moon but I cut them out for the most part. There are carbs in EVERYTHING so cutting out the obvious offenders leaves more room for other stuff.
And kiz, I find that if I start making healthier choices it's easier to keep making them. So I try to remember that when I'm debating about eating all the cookies in a bag.
You lose the weight in the kitchen and get healthy in the gym. At least that is what I am learning for myself. I can work out a ton but if I don't track my eating, I will eat back every cal I burn and more.
I eat carbs (mmmmm, asiago cheese bagels!!) and chocolate but also eat healthy with lots of fruits and veggies and low processed foods.
