I thought my house would be perfectly clean since I was going to be a SAHM and not working anymore. I mean, what else do sahm's do all day? I wish I could shake former me.

I thought I would just teach my kids to respect dangerous things like outlets and corners and whatnot and I wouldn't have to waste money on baby proofing.
I thought I would still go out with my friends.
I thought I would still have friends.
I thought I would never swear in front of my kids.
Also, I was genuinely surprised when Max was born and had no teeth. I don't know how I forgot that babies don't usually come fully equipped.

I totally thought we could just drop her off at the grandparents for a glorious sleepover and she'd be happy and sleep all night long and we'd have an adult evening out and all woudl be well!

I actually used this on my H as one of the many convincing reasons as to why I should stay home, knowing full well it would never happen. (My kid was a toddler already, so I just knew).

I thought I would still have a social life. (I hardly ever leave the house) I was never going to bed share. (Corbin is almost 11 months and we cannot get him out of our bed)

I thought I would never be late for anything like my other mom friends. Ha. I'm almost always late now because of either a poop explosion, nap, tantruming toddler, I could go on.

I liked that this helped, not the other part. Good luck to you when you are finally able to move forward!
