I'm getting a pedi, and I don't get them often , but every time I go, I see women with long toenails, and they don't get them trimmed much. Doesn't it hurt when they wear shoes?
I tend to have long toenails. I hate how cutting them feels so I put it off. It's never been a problem with shoes. I don't get pedicures though, I can't stand having people touch my feet.
Maybe it is. Whenever I get a pedi I have to pre-cut mine at home because they never want to cut them short enough.
I do this too.
Several years ago I had hip surgery and I couldn't trim the nails on my right foot, and my H didn't trim them as much as I had trimmed my left foot, and I was annoyed at how off balance they were, and that they weren't short enough.

I can't reach my toenails since my last round of hip surgeries, so I have to get a pedicure in order to get them cut. While I try to get them to cut them short, they don't always wind up as short as I'd like, so they wind up long when I finally go back into the salon.
Long toe nails are rough on socks and when they bump up against my shoes it drives me nuts though.
My very first papsmear, the doctor had hot pink spiky hair, Birkenstocks and super long blue toenails. I have no idea how the papsmear went, but I will never forget her toenails. I was hyper aware of them the whole time.
