My kid had a horrible night. So many wakeups and lots of crying. I'm off today because my mom is in from out of town. Thankfully I got to go back to sleep. But, what about tomorrow...
DS had a terrible night. I slept in the recliner with him for most of the night. Zzzzzz
I finally got on the scale this morning. I've been denying it for way too long. Time to actually track what I eat/drink. Wine, I'll miss you most.
My BsIL and SsIL are coming over tonight because we have to plan a 50th anniversary party for my ILs. My ILs aren't my favorite people so I have ZERO desire to spend any type of money on this shindig.
@callmefia my H can be somewhat of a stick in the mud too-I blame his work hours but mostly he would just rather park it on the couch and watch tv. I've taken to planning things without him. AJ's swim lessons this past spring (Btw he was 8 months when they started and he fucking looooved it, I highly recommend doing it)? "I'm signing AJ up for swim lessons on Saturdays at x time, come if you want." (He did have to work most of those Saturdays) Apple orchard on Sunday? "AJ and I are going apple picking on Sunday." The same applies for Boo at the Zoo if we go. It's just easier.
DH is quite a lazy homebody when not at work so I do this too. I wish he would join us more often but at least this way I'm not sitting around the house all weekend being resentful.
I got the weirdest text from my BFF this morning. They hosted a fall party at their house this weekend, there were a ton of kiddos there. DS1 seemed to have a great time. They were all in general supervision of all of the adults at all time. I got this text from BFF:
Drewly- I just heard about what happened with DS1 and otherchild this weekend at the party. I'm so, so sorry. I promise I will never invite them or otherchild to another one of our parties. Again, I'm really sorry"
Uhhh.... I have literally no idea what she's talking about. lol. "otherchild" is like 15 months old? DS1 is 3.5. I am so confused.

I just ordered $120 worth of baby clothes from Old Navy. Please tell me the quality is decent. I wasn't to take advantage of the GAP 40% off but even with the discount it just seemed too pricey for tiny clothes he'll grow out of quickly. I also didn't love anything they had but thought there were quite a few cute items from ON.
ETA: I got 16 pieces, including a herringbone tweed cap.
My random is that I have an overnight work trip this week and I'm ridiculously excited. I drive up Thursday morning, work from about 12-2, and then not again 12-3 on Friday. So I have almost 24 hours, uninterrupted, to myself, and a hotel room, with work footing the bill.
I am going to sleep forever, get a pedicure, and eat take-out in bed.
I am going away for a baby shower in November - I will be there all of 30 hours, but I AM SO EXCITED. It's the first time I've been away NOT for work. The other day H was like "you know, we could come with yo-""NO".
I signed up for a gym class at lunch time but I feel super dizzy and nauseous for not apparent reason. This happened to me yesterday morning too and I skipped my planned run. WTH is going on with me?
I had something similar a few weeks ago. Random nausea for like a week straight. I was seriously worried I was PG. It's resolved though!
Mine is a rave--our neighbors (who we've met once) came over yesterday and gave us this play kitchen. They were going to throw it away, and their son (probably 5 or 6) said "Hey! Let's give it to neighbor baby!" so they did. I love them, and I'm bringing them cookies this week.
We got our toy shopping cart from neighbors - they have 2 tween boys and it had been sitting in their yard forever so I finally asked if we could have it. I love free stuff!

We've had a lot of ON stuff, especially my five year old. I think it's fine for kid stuff because by time it's looking rough or falling apart they are outgrowing it. It's not stuff you'll be passing down to your grandkids but it gets the job done.

DH just asked to pick DD1 from preschool right as I was getting ready to leave. He wants to take her to lunch too. So DD2 and I are sitting on the front porch and listening to the birds instead. It's nice to have a little unscheduled time with just DD2.
I responded and told her I honestly had no idea what she was talking about. I haven't heard back from her. She's a little helicoptery and very sensitive (and also 9 months pg), so I can only guess it was something that maybe wasn't a huge deal but she was worried? Who knows.

I am currently walking M, so he will nap. My neighbor just pulled into the alley, and appears to be eating her lunch in the car while her baby naps. I thought it was amusing that were both in the same boat. Nap solidarity!
