When I get in that type of funk I need to do something I can feel good about. Exercise, pay bills, clean the house, make a fancy dinner and do the dishes, etc.

If I have the $, I try to stay at a hotel nearby for the night (even if it's just in my city) and play tourist/use their A/C. If I don't, I run or watch some really great (read: terrible) TV alone in my room.

Exercise, lots of it. Preferrably outside. Clean my house. Like obnoxiously clean, open the windows, fresh sheets for everyone. Then bake something amazing, and don't share

I hope you feel better.
Paying bills puts me in a funk:-/
It would make me happy if they would make skunk scented checks.
Doing something nice for someone usually helps me.
Doing something nice for me generally helps me. LOL. Selfish, party of one.
No, really. I go someplace quiet and read a good book, get a pedicure, or do something else (depending on our budget) that is somehow pampering or relaxing.

If it's a minor stress kind of thing I youtube cute animal videos and/or meditation videos.
If it's more of an ongoing thing I find that it's usually because I'm feeling out of control or overwhelmed in some way and work to address that. Typically cleaning or organizing my space works well. Sometimes I made to do lists to help my brain calm down.
It usually happens when I'm burned out so it's about figuring out some 'me' time: Getting outside for a walk if the weather's nice. Bubble bath. Going out to a coffee place with my Kindle. Picking up dinner that night instead of making it. Writing in a journal a bit (gratitude thoughts, whining, etc)
If the house or work desk is a mess, cleaning helps me feel like things are under control again.
Spa days (body wrap, massage, facial) and vacations are the best, but hard on the budget lol.
So far I've put a piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream into my face. I'm trying to finish up a little bit of work that has been hanging over my head and then I'm going to take a long nap with my cuddle kitty.
