Training plan for the week? M: 1.5 mile walk/1.5 mile run T: 3 mile run W: 3 mile walk T: 2 mile run F: Rest/travel S: Rest Su: RACE DAY!
Vents or issues? I did not train like I have should of for this race. I did my long runs but my midweek runs did not often happen. But the race is happening and I need to focus on that.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? DH and I went to NY and did a hot air balloon ride Friday night. Saturday we went to Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester which was great and Sunday we took the long drive home for the foliage. All in all a fantastic weekend. Since he cannot be with me race weekend, it was great to have a weekend away with him.

What are you training for? Date? Primarily Kiawah Half (12/13), a 5k this weekend, a 10k in a month, a 10 miler in Nov, plus some more 5k's
Training plan for the week? Mon - unintentional rest (got stuck late at work) Tues - Track workout with running club Wed - Running club 5k Thurs - 3 miles + weights at gym Fri - rest Sat - 5k with a friend Sun - 6 miles
Vents or issues? Its supposed to be humid and rainy the next few days. I don't mind the rain but hate looking at 85%+ humidity.

Vents or issues? Finding the time to get the mid week long runs in.
I do have a vent, why do my co-workers insist on filing/clipping their nails at their desks. This isn't a freaking nail salon.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? 5k PR - 21:55 Last 20 miler in the books, my legs were tired after the 5k.

Vents or issues? Quads are very sore after my race on Saturday, my hip was aching Saturday and I was really regretting running so hard, worried about my run the next day. I went out the next morning, it hurt for the first mile and then felt fine the rest of the time. Hasn't hurt since!
Highlights or AW's from the past week? 10K PR at 46:56, Signed up for my third marathon at Kiawah!

What are you training for? Date? Hyannis Half 2/22/15, I'm trying to see if I can get a more recent qual time for a full marathon next fall. I qualified for this marathon almost a year ago, and they do take times from up to 2 years but I just "want" a more recent time.

Vents or issues? Nothing yet. I'm starting a bit early to slowly get my mileage up and try and avoid any major calf/shin issues. I'm noticing a bit of calf tightness after yesterday's run. I'm purposely scheduling a lot of "stretch/strength" days to hopefully combat this.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Slowly getting back on the wagon and being kind to my body in the process. Lame but good for me

Last week was a cutback week for me, so easy runs mostly. Since I didn't have a long run last Friday, I was the mystery reader for my daughter's class. She was very surprised.

Vents or issues? Just a sore foot and a sore hip. Nothing too bad.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I'm slowly getting my eating back under control, and I felt stronger during my run on Saturday than I have in a long time. I was pretty happy with my splits from my 12 mile run this weekend. My legs were tired, but I could have gone faster. So maybe my goal pace pace isn't so far fetched after all.

What are you training for? Date? Metro Dallas half , Dec 14
Training plan for the week? Mon- run 4 (Sunday's skipped run), lifting Tue- run 5, yoga Wed- lifting, hopefully trainer ride Thurs- run 4, yoga Fri- rest Sat- run 6
Vents or issues? No real issues. Just getting back into the habit. And lugging around 20 extra pounds makes me SLOW compared to where I was last year.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Longest run this year on Friday. Only 8 miles but I'm getting there!
Training plan for the week? M: rest T: 20x400, core W: 8 mi run+ ST R: 12 mi run, core F: ST,core S: 20-22 mi run (haven't decided if I'll stick with 20 or if I want to do 22) S: 8 mi run, core
Vents or issues? My left knee is bothering me. Little twinges of pain inflated by my last week before taper crazies.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I did two difficult workouts that I'd normally do with my group all by myself. It was hard but I did it!

What are you training for? Date? 50 mile charity ride on 10/12. And a half in April. Yes, I know that is a long way out, lol.
Training plan for the week?
Today: 3 mile run (DONE!) 30 min of weight lifting after work Tomorrow: trying to squeak in either yoga or weight lifting Thursday: 3 mile run in a.m. ;bike (25-30 miles) in p.m. Friday: Either yoga or weightlifting Saturday: x-train Sunday: bike! Maybe a brick
Vents or issues? I'm having pain in my shoulder near the rotator cuff. It makes it hard to bike long distances. I'm seeing a chiro/ART guy on Friday so hopefully he can fix me up!
Highlights or AW's from the past week? YES! This is a repeat but I started doing brick workouts which I am SUPER proud of myself for doing. I never thought I would be in shape to bike 30 miles then run 2.6. And, because I'm being a total AW, I was doing the leg press on the sled at the gym and I'm up to doing 3 sets of 360lbs!

Training plan for the week? Same thing, different week. Monday- Bench Wednesday- Squat Thursday/Friday- Bench Saturday- Deadlift
Vents or issues? My back muscle is being a butt and keeping me from sleeping. 2 more days until my chiro can fix it.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I finally got my IT band loosened up last night. Hooray for that. I got a PR benching with reverse bands last night- 205 for one- and a couple rep PRs with overhead press. Had a PR deadlift for a double on Saturday. I'm considering busting out my supportive gear for squats tomorrow and doing the meet in January equipped. My last equipped meet was in July of 2009.

Highlights or AW's from the past week? It's supposed to be a low of 58* on Sunday!! YOU GUYS, cool weather for my 21 miler!! I could cry real happy tears.

I hate having to start running from scratch. Again. And I think its safe to say that HM training is in the crapper. By the time I'm released I'll have 6 weeks to train. It's gonna be a long walk in November.

I did a 5K! And nothing hurt before, or even after! Well, nothing that isn't supposed to hurt anyway!!
What are you training for? Date? Dubai Marathon, January 23
Training plan for the week? 3 x mile repeats, 6 mile tempo, 10 mile long, another junk run thrown in for good measure
Vents or issues? It is still hot here. Sad story.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I nailed my last four speed workouts (indoors) like totally crushed them. My mile repeats this week averaged 7:40, better than the 7:55 target!
Brit, when do you guys start to get a break? I thought about you this morning, because (even though we'll still have hot humid days), we'll start to see one or two days where we get a small break. I was wondering when you would get some relief. Hang in there!

Training plan for the week? This past Sunday: 11.5, Monday: Rest; Tu:3miles, Wed:2miles; Thurs: 2 miles; Friday yoga and Saturday rest. Also, as much foam rolling and stretching as I can get in.
Vents or issues? I am really nervous about how I'll feel out there Sunday. I had a hellish long run this past Sunday, and missed a few weekday runs the prior week. I just want to finish strong, in one piece, and have fun.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I survived the run from hell on Sunday including getting lost on trails twice.

Vents or issues? I really hope this is just taper crazy because I can't handle if this is regular crazy! I am super anxious today and hyper sensitive about everything. I'm going to wait until after the race to decide if I've lost my mind
Highlights or AW's from the past week? My calves are in much better shape and ALMOST feel normal again. I have two more sessions with the PT/Chiro this week to work out the remaining kinks. I'm also hitting my paces again (I was really struggling a couple weeks ago and freaking out about the race)

Last year it improved a lot in December, so we'll see. The temperature is dropping, but this morning at sunrise it was still 86* and 80% humidity. Much better, but still not comfortable.

Training plan for the week? Mon - recovery run + strength Tue - swim + abs Wed - 6 mile tempo run + strength Thurs - off Fri - Trail run in Upper Michigan! So excited Sat - 10-12 mile long run on trails. Will probably just end up shooting for 1:30-1:45 total running time Sun - either off or easy run depending on how the wedding Saturday night goes
Vents or issues? I'm just at the point where my legs are sore all over. I've got a deep tissue message scheduled for tomorrow that should help.

Vents or issues? By all my "or"s you can tell I'm all over the place this week. Work is crazy and Saturday we're having 15 friends over. I am supposed to do 6.2 on Saturday morning, but I need to go foodshopping at some point and Friday is out unless I go really late because of DS's appointment so I may try and do it on Friday morning. I still need to clean too.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I got up this morning at six and did 4 miles. Clearly my family knows I'm not a morning person because my dad sent me a text and said that the road id app wasn't working right because it alerted him that I was out running at 6:30 and that clearly wasn't right....lol! It was cool and misting out and felt great. Also, I still can't believe how much faster my pace is outside versus on the treadmill....its insane!
