I did. My kids are 4 years apart and I didn't remember anything the second time around. The two books I read the second time were Expecting 411 and the week by week book.
Isn't Ina May like anti-hospital or something? Forgive me if I'm miscategorizing her, but one of my prenatal yoga instructors often read us passages from a book that seemed anti-medicine and fearmongering, and I thought it was her book.
I am dying to know who this instructor was/what studio it was at.
My former nanny is a doula and lent me the Ina May book. It was a little too hippy dippy for my tastes. Which is saying a lot, as we have already established that I am a dirty hippy myself.
I think I might have glanced at the chapters from What to Expect When You are Expecting with number 2, but no, in general, I didn't re-read. You don't forget that stuff... HAHA
Edit to say: FTR my pregnancies were 18 months apart.
Personally, if getting rid of stuff I would kept a good bf help/guide and something like The Birth Book. Much of the rest of it was junk/cliche and since I have a good idea of what I need to know at this point, I can just google.

I did a lot of eye rolling while reading her books. Lots of yoni references, etc.
They were interesting but obviously very geared towards the militant med-free birth set. Not for me.

My former nanny who lent me the Ina May book also suggested I "deep kiss" my H during labor to ease my pain. Sure enough, people talked about that in the Ina May book too.
Now, to each his own and if that works for you during labor, more power to you. But in my first labor at least, I wanted to punch anyone who touched me AT ALL. if my husband had suggested deep kissing I would have yanked his nuts off. For real.
