UPDATE IN OP: first emaIl as a mandated reporter

My cheerleaders told me about the sixth grade boys playing what they call a rape game, which involves threatening the girls physically and pawing at their clothes. And when he girls told their teachers, they were told to FUCKING AVOID THE BOYS DOING IT. 

I am so mad right now. I sent the email rather than call bc I want a trail, and the principal is a dope and I need proof that I did something. 

I mean seriously, what the fuck! Sixth grade?!


UPDATE: the principal got back to me, and said that the situation was handled in school.  I will talk to my girls at the next practice to see what that really means.

But I would use a little caution posting about it on here, as you're purposely trying to create a paper trail. You don't want anything from GBCN dug up if it comes to light that one of the girls was victimized and it becomes a legal case. (No clue how anyone would find this - but still.)

So far just the principal. But I am talking to my sister, who works for the archdiocese (catholic school) as well.

One is male.  And one is a nun from another country. The other is just a weirdo. Not that these circumstances excuse their shitty response

If the principal doesn't do anything, is there someone else you can report to? The teachers and boys need to be disciplined. And if I were the principal this sure as shit would prompt an immediate full faculty meeting so this can be nipped in the bud. And the boy's parents need to be notified as well.

It also makes me sad for the other boys in these classes (the boys not doing it) because it's possible they are getting shoved around by these same boys or have been approached to be a part of the "game" and mocked for not joining in. I feel sick for the kids who have been touched and pawed as well as any that innocently witnessed it. Makes me sick.

Someone (not you) needs to investigate this and figure out who and why. Oh my word, this is just horrible, prof. You are such a good adult to have in these children's lives for many reasons but real protection is definitely one of them.

I phrased my email in a "this is what the girls are saying, somethingnneeds to be done about this" way. But I'm not really surprised if thisis the reaction, though. I know sixth grade girls can be...selective...in what they hear.
