DS made biscuits this morning. As in i set all the ingredients out and he measured them all on his own. He formed them and everything. They were super flaky. I am kind of impressed. Maybe i can start having him cook dinner
My parents just picked up to "play ALL DAY!" As DS says. DH and I are going shopping for a new couch. Fingers crossed we can find something we both like in our price range! We have our eye on this.
OMG. This pregnancy is going to do me in. I feel like vomiting every time I get up. I can control it and have only been sick a couple of times but I don't want to spend all my time lying down. I was telling the doctors and they were all like your glucose numbers are great! Okay, but what about the rest of me? I just want to feel good again and hopefully keep this baby in for another three-four weeks.

DH is being so great this morning. I had kind of a rough night with DS2, so he got up with DS1 and let me sleep in another hour and a half. Then when I got up, he'd made banana pancakes and bacon. Now he is cleaning the kitchen while I eat. I wish paternity leave would never end!
We had such a perfect kid-free day/night yesterday. Beautiful weather, walking around an adorable shore town, my first B&B experience, a fancy dinner, sleeping late-ish both yesterday and today (but not as late as I would've wanted, since their breakfast schedule is clearly not aimed at lazy moms on escape).
Now we're at the lighthouse. DH is climbing and I'm waiting at the bottom, because 6.5 months pregnant + a million stairs = just no.
I found a Nuk training sippy cup that DD will actually use. Yay! And cheaper formula at Costco…score.
She's asleep now, which is lovely. Also, I am eating all my silent words about those fruit/veggie pouches. She really likes them (although, to be fair, she likes anything), but they have cool things in them like beets and spinach and no added sugar so I can't complain.
I managed to underestimate my ils. I was supposed to meet them at the zoo to pick up the girls so I could get them home (45mins away) before nap. I just called and they're walking into the zoo now :/. And the sleep update was that dd2 sang until 10 in her pnp, an alarm in the room somehow went off at 130 causing both girls to wake screaming and they were up by 630. I can't wait to see what kind of moods they're going to be in

I have a lot of randoms today:
- A cw and I are having a FB conversation about the fact that another cw has her 9 month old FFing and what, if anything, to say and how to say it - We nearly had a @this moment this AM. DD took off her sleepsack again and her pj pants, and had a poopy diaper. Thank god that's as far as she got. - DD saw some of the older girls at gymnastics take off their warm ups today so she insisted on taking off her pants too. She did her whole class in only a onesie. She looked so so cute! - My parents wanted to have a reno meeting during DD's naptime today. I had to make up some random excuse to postpone, since I didn't think "Sunday naptime is our standing sex date" would work
T-minus 40 minutes until party time! The nap gods have looked down upon us as DS is still sleeping. If he could nap right up until the party, that would be great. My family will leave after a couple hours, but my ILs will stay alllll nigt long and there's no way DS will nap later.
I. Need. More. Sleep. H and I had this thing going the past few weeks where we would take every other nighttime wakeup/feeding. Now H is sleeping through her cries AND my jabs in his ribs going "you're turn!". And when he does wake up he acts all pissed about it. He took the 12 am feeding last night but put her down so fussy that I got up and rocked her to sleep. But then I was up until 4 am after that point. I finally got him to get up and do the 6 am feeding and now he's complaining about "lack of sleep". What? You slept from midnight to 6 am! Then he left for his 22 mile run (training for a marathon in November) at 9 and won't be back until 1. DD is fussy all morning so no nap for me.
I'm trying not to get on his case b/c he's been a dream lately but I'm cranky and pissed.
Also, DD is apparently a 3-day pooper and today is day 3. So far she's exploded 3 diapers and has had two outfit changes. Holy shit, literally. Where in her tiny body was all this poop stored? The last one involved a bath, since there was nasty poo all the way up her chest.
AND today is my grandmom's 94th birthday. Friday was my "due date" and she was hoping I would have DD two days late for her birthday. Oh well. But we're leaving soon (as soon as H returns from his run....) for the family party at my parent's house. Which is good. Family can hold DD, I will crash somewhere. ZZZZZZ
God, I want my ILs to move up here so much. They're here today and it's amazing. MIL and C played with Play-Doh this morning while I finished assembling the dresser, FIL is fixing a broken sink for us, and we all went to brunch and they paid.
I won the IL lottery. Whyyyyy must they live 3.5 hours away for no apparent reason?
Guy just came to give me a quote on installing the crap for my laundry closet project. I mentioned to him that I can do everything myself except hang the cabinet but we no longer have the tools. He told me he'd just lend me the tools and come help hang the cabinet. WINNING. I just need to make sure I buy extra trim since I'll inevitably mess it up a couple times.
DS is driving me up the wall today. Instead of cleaning, I'm canning. My house is a disaster but my give-a-shit meter is at zero for the moment.
I'm not happy with the bins I found for the Kallax unit I built last night. Looks like yet another trip to Ikea so I can buy the bins that fit perfectly instead of a couple inches too short and an inch too narrow.

I am so stinking proud of my baby for sleeping through this ruckus of the floors/sanding/banging. He has been so flexible this weekend, thank goodness.
I am on the computer and should be putting in a couple of work hours while L naps, but, ugh. On the plus side, I got my first check on Friday and for part time, I am pretty impressed. Putting in the hours from home is the icing on the cake!
DD stayed in bed until 8, which is the latest ever - normally it's 6:30. While eating breakfast I saw that the Target tunic was on sale for $20 so I went back and price adjusted $17 back into my pocket
H and I built that dresser on Thursday Brie and I'm sorting through all of DDs baby clothes while she naps to see what we need to buy!

M helped me make cupcakes today and was pretty much obsessed. So freakin cute. He got upset when I put everything from the bowl into the mixer, so I had to get him a separate bowl of flour so he could keep mixing.

We had another 11 hours with only one wake up night last night. I could get used to this! He was also a delight in the grocery store today. Oh, and I truly feel like a member of the MMM club as I bought pouches for the first time today!

Both kids came into our room between 3-4am to snuggle. I snuck out and slept fabulously in the guest room till 9:45
It's a beautiful day and the kids are playing outside with neighbors. I got some recertification stuff done for work and should now tidy up the house. DH is at work.
Found a leak under the kitchen sink when I was looking for something. It's just the valve, which DH can replace himself, but I'm like, I cannot wait to remodel the kitchen (but not over a valve).
Dinner is done and in the fridge for later.
Now just waiting for doom, I mean MIL, to arrive after E's nap.

I finally have kid related ones...
It took an hour and a half to get groceries this morning because we wenta little later than normal and all the after church shoppers kept stopping us to play with DD. For the most part, she was not impressed.
And I've been letting her pick/point out which bow she wants to wear. She's picked the same one (a caramel apple from swizz and her mom's shop) that people go nuts over. It's adorable and clearly her favorite.
We are having a wonderfully lazy morning. C slept until 8:45am with NO WAKE-UPS during the night! Please let this be the end of the 18 month sleep regression! We've all been snacking for breakfast on a banana bread/pumpkin bread/pound cake sampler I got at Costco, C is down for a nap now, DH is defeating evil (playing video games) and I am GBCNing.
WTFWTFWTF, there's an 18 month sleep regression?! I'm barely over the last one!

The ILs took both boys for the day so dh and I could have an afternoon alone. I love that this baby takes bottles. We went out for brunch, and went home for football, beer and naked time.
FYI, having sex for the first time in over 3 months (and 9 months since my body was not awkwardly shaped) ... Is not like riding a bike... We need practice

M lost his mind on our drive home from the beach this morning, Hasn't done this in a long time in the car. Better not be a reoccurring thing. If you turn somewhere he doesn't want it is like he bas been shot. How does he even know where we are going and where the hell does he think he is going?
Also H wasn't paying attention and one of the dogs jumped up on the couch. The dogs aren't allowed on the couch but he looks so cute and comfortable and makes a good arm rest that I don't have the heart to make him move. Yeah for dog hair everywhere!

Warning - massive vent. My worst day as a pet parent and human parent is now officially worse than @this 's b/c my 9 month old managed to eat cat sh!t in the 30 seconds it took me to field a phone call from DH. Oh, and apparently the cat is now pooping in the guest room because that's where this occurred. ugh.
And, per my post yesterday, I'm on the hunt for some Robeez for DS. I thought it was going to be a challenge to find a size that would fit his extra chunky foot. No, the challenge is to find the damn Robeez. BBB had precisely one pair, size 0-6 month. BRU had none. Nordstrom Rack had none. Where the heck are you people buying these shoes??!?! (And when I say "Robeez" I mean any soft-soled leather shoe, heck, I'd be fine with vinyl.)
I'm in a bad mood b/c DS's naps are all messed up so we didn't get to the pumpkin patch and we still don't have the stupid shoes we need for him.
