I had my gallbladder out this morning. The incisions only hurt a little bit but the pain from the trapped gas is no joke. I need to walk around to get it out but I just want to nap!
Also, the guy in the room next to me post op must have had a colonoscopy and the nurse was telling him to far a lot. And he did! The 12 year old in me would have been laughing if I wasn't in so much pain!

After I had a colonoscopy, I farted for like 24 hours straight, lol. At least his colon is empty so it won't smell.
I hope you recover quickly and get all that gas out!
I've listened to "Baby Beluga" at least once a day for the past 6 months. This is not an exaggeration. T got the CD for his birthday, which was 6 months ago yesterday. It haunts me.
This reminds me of the Full House episode where Michelle walks around with her little radio singing Baby Beluga 23/7. unclejesse would know all about that, right?
I also know about the Three's Company song. COME AND KNOCK ON OUR DOOOORRRR
I had my first subbing day today, and it went well (only a half day). Not only am I going back on Thursday and Friday, but I just got called to sub for them tomorrow, also. It was a great experience, but they pay on the lower end of the scale. At least I should make enough to cover daycare and the cost of gas.
Ugh, I feared getting sick while traveling and of course I picked something up even though I was as careful as I could possibly be. I want to feel normal again (mentally and physically).
rainbowchip I hope the pain goes away quickly. I felt much better the second day. Good luck w/the kids, that was the hardest part. M tried to be careful, but, toddler.

Big hugs! Please let us know if there is anything we can do!

I've already shown them my owies but I am terrified of them forgetting and jumping on me!
I started having morning sickness all day a couple days ago but never actually getting sick. It was getting worse over those days so I called my doctor's office to have them send a 'script for whatever anti-nausea thing they use (not Zofran, somethign else) because we're OOT at a wedding this weekend and I was afraid of being miserable.
Of course, I wake up this morning and am feeling totally normal again. I wonder if this is all in my head.
Also, I returned the Boden dress I bought for the wedding and rented from Rent the Runway - DH decided to wear his tux so I wanted to wear a long dress too. I have two gorgeous navy gowns coming my way!

It has been a super crazy busy couple of days. I can't believe it is only Tuesday. I need the weekend to be here.
We spent all day Saturday shopping for some bunk beds for the girls. Bought some in the evening. Then went to see my in-laws who were coming home from out of state helping to care for my sick grandfather-in-law. Came home and did some work around the house.
Sunday we took apart their whole bedroom and got it ready to paint, then left to go to my father's birthday party. Got home and got the girls in our bed since their room was torn apart and found out my grandfather-in-law passed away.
So yesterday, we drove out of state (4 hour drive) for the wake and to be with the family. Then drove home last night (again, 5 hour drive). Girls still had to go into our bed since we didn't have a chance to put their room together yet.
So, I haven't been able to really sleep because the girls were both in our bed. DH has been sleeping on the couch.
DH went to pick up the new bunk beds this morning so we can get the assembled and have the girls sleep in their own beds. I think he is working on assembly now, however, the girls have gymnastics tonight and we won't get home until after 7:30.
It doesn't help everything that I feel absolutely huge with this pregnancy. I don't remember feeling quite so huge at this point the last two times. I have my ultrasound next week. I am going to be very curious to see what percentage this baby is since I feel so big right now.
Sorry for rambling!
Coongrats Sally! That looks like a positive to me!

That reminds me of my post c-section gas pains. Ouch! I'm glad all went well and I hope you feel a lot better now that that pesky organ is gone.

My friend had her baby today(33w4d)! They are both doing amazing. He was 4lbs 5oz and 18in. He is in the NICU on oxygen but doing great overall! He also has a full head of red hair!

@tambcat, I'm sorry he's winding you up. I can relate to several of those annoying things.
DH insists on peeing in the early morning with the light on but doesn't shut the door. It's always like 45 minutes before I need to wake up. Pee in the dark jerk face!
He pushed the sugary cereal on the kids too. We bicker over how many grams of sugar. Once he reaches the 9 gram threshold my head spins. I used to insist on under 4grams but I give up. We still mix a low sugar option with another kind.
In regards to video games what works for us is that on fri/sat nights, after I go to bed, he plays as long as he wants, drinks as much as he wants, watches sport center etc, and then sleeps on the couch. This is fine as long as he's not "mr. Horizontal man" in the mornings. Sometimes he is and I get pissed but mostly it works out.
I would start with the alarm clock issue. If you were sleeping better you might be more tolerant of the other things.

It was really awesome the way you helped them out. Did the dad make it home? So glad the baby is doing well!

BIL has changed his mind a total of 3 times in the past 4 days about tagging along with us to Massachusetts tomorrow. As of right now he is going and I will be sitting between the kids car seats out back.

Dad did finally make it home yesterday, then went to work per usual, and picked Brooke up at about 5pm. I'm unsure if they stayed the night at the hospital or went home. But I went to the hospital to watch her this morning so dad could be in the OR. Now a mutual friend of ours has her for the rest of the day so that dad can be in the NICU as he pleases.

M's hair is long for her age and strangers comment on it pretty frequently. It's mostly "wow, her hair is so long!"
But this morning a mom pushing a baby in her stroller stopped me and asked me what I did to get her hair so long. I said, "uhhhh...nothing?" Such a silly question, what was she expecting me to say? It's not like I have some magical potion I sprinkle on her head at night.
We just got backr from seeing the LC and Violet has a tongue tie. Not a sever one, but enough to make things difficult for her. I'm waiting to hear back of this is something we can get corrected at the doctors or if we need to go to the dentist.

I'm glad you caught it early! Olivia's wasn't severe but having it clipped made a difference. I hope it's an easy process for you.
