DOOOOON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! Worst pain of my life! I slept with an ice pack on my crotch and tears in my eyes
OMG okay, won't be doing that.
Realistically, most people need three hands to do a good wax that doesn't leave bruising or is too painful. When I get mine done, I'm pulling and stretching my pizza-dough-like skin as tight as I can get it so my aesthetician can get it all cleaned up.
bebeetmoiTrudyCampbell - you guys flip over for the anus? My gal asks me to put my knees to my chest.
kandrze1 I don't take anything for the pain. It's really not that bad and it's over in the blink of an eye. It's more painful if your hair is longer. I go every three-four weeks. The hair becomes really thin and fine overtime and much less painful.

I have never been asked to flip. I do the knees to the chest also.

dojo yeah I trimmed last time before I went, but it was right before I got my period so I'm wondering if that's it. I hate shaving so much. I'd rather just get waxed, but I've been scared to go back since that last time.
I'm so glad my husband doesn't read internet forums like this and sticks to car articles and fishing videos. Go ahead and feel sorry that he's stuck with an ungroomed wife but...don't tell him.
Wait, wait, wait...I had no idea this was a thing?? I just...investigated...and have no hair there. Am I weird? Lucky? I'm way too embarrassed to ask DH about this.

Definitely not the thing to read after 3 strong margaritas and the beast...um...I mean toddler is sleeping. I am dying laughing. DH thinks I'm nuts.
Also, I've never even thought about shaving my crack. I get such horrible razor burn and rashes just shaving my bikini line I don't want to imagine more!!

For me at least (I can't believe I putting this on the Internet) it's not really the crack, like below the hole, but past the actual vagina. It isn't like sticking out oft butt crack.

The taint?
Yes! Lol. So more so I shave my taint. Not the actual butt crack
I do that area every so often. I had laser removal (brazilian) but there are some hairs that were too light to zap so they grew back. My butt crack hair is sparse, it's kinda, feathery? or something. It's not awful, but maybe every couple months I will go back there. It's not fun, hard to get it in the shower. But satisfying all the same!
Feathery butt hair. Like its delicate like a baby chick vs 70's bush around the butt.
It's totally a different texture! At least I am admitting to it, unlike some other people who have replied here I am firmly in the camp that everyone has SOME butt crack hair, whether they are aware of it, or not.

I do, but clearly everyone does it differently. Between living in Boston, NYC and now New England I've never had anyone ask me to put my legs to my chest. But I don't really have any shame, so as long as the job gets done I don't care!
