Hello everyone! I am sorry I haven't been around much.
DS is 10 weeks. The first month was great but the last 6 weeks have been a roller coaster. DS has bad reflux and lost a bunch of weight at about 1 month. We started medication and saw lactation. It turns out DS was burning all his calories trying to eat. I had to start supplementing and stop feeding from the breast. I only feed expressed breastmilk now which I am OK w after a lot of work.
We have had to change his meds and now today we are getting an ultrasound and will be seeing a gi doctor. I go back to work on the 10th, part time luckily, but I am a little stressed.
Good news: he is super cute and smiles now. He also slept 6 hours tonight!
I can't do pics right now and it is making me mad.
@melsamooney- Your DS is adorable!! Sorry to hear that it's been a really rough 6 weeks. Hope the appointments/tests go well and things improve soon. You are doing a great job mama- hang in there!
I can't post pictures but Vada is now 3 mo. A couple of weeks ago she started to hold her toys. It's so fun to help her learn new skills. This week she reached out to touch The mirror and got such a kick out of it. Also for the first time this week she grabbed her foot with her hand and tried to bring it to her mouth. She rolls to her side but not to her tummy yet. She smiles a lot and laughs so loudly it's adorable. She also babbles a lot which makes it fun to have conversations with her. We are struggling with her spitting up but I'm not sure if it's reflux or just a laundry problem. Glad everyone is doing well

We had an X-ray of Vada's upper GI and it was normal and the doctor recommended we get an ultrasound to make sure she didn't have pyloric stenosis. She is gaining weight and has plenty of wet and dirty diapers, so once the x ray came back normal she said she wouldn't get the ultrasound. We started her on rice cereal in her bottle and the dr recommend zantac but we had a problem with that at first but since the cereal didn't alone help we started her on it this week. I'm not sure about how helpful any of it is since she still spits up an ounce or more.
